May 3, 201213 yr With "Waterline" set to climb the Irish charts as we get closer to the contest, today saw the exclusive first play of the song they've recorded for the Euro 2012 championships. Here's the official video...... 0eParXVjkPI Edited May 3, 201213 yr by Shaky Fan
May 12, 201213 yr #yleeurovision is trending worldwide! I think it's something to do with Jedward appearing on Finnish television from what I can gather from the tweets. Definitely shows there is still massive interest in Jedward I think! :o
May 13, 201213 yr Ya i also think there is still big interest in Jedward, lets hope so anyhow as i really want Ireland to make the top 10 again this year.
May 14, 201213 yr I heard Jedward singing on the late late show on Friday. The backing singers were actually appalling. It's made me question our chances to be honest.
May 15, 201213 yr The late late performance was weak enough and not as good as eurosong night at all, one of the backing singers(female) could be heard way above everyone and i mean that in bad way and there were quiet a few parts out of tune in general, if they perform like that in the semi final i wouldn't be so sure at all of them qualifying for the final.
May 19, 201213 yr Should have alot of eurovision id say in that tribute to Noel, i must sky plus it as we speak.
May 23, 201213 yr I would agree, but i would also say the camera work could have done a bit better which would have added huge value.
May 24, 201213 yr Definetly but i dont think there will be any changes made for the final on saturday night.
May 25, 201213 yr "Waterline" bounces back up the Irish chart on it's 13th week moving from 28 to 10! Jedward are also at 9 (down from 6) with their new single "Put The Green Cape On" which, as mentioned previously, is actually "Lipstick" with new lyrics.
May 25, 201213 yr I hope waterline gets a new peak next week, i actually expected much higher than number 10 for this week to be honest.
May 27, 201213 yr Amazing song. Deserved to do so much better in the chart. I actually preferred it to "Lipstick" last year, but I loved them both ofc.
May 27, 201213 yr Definitly deserved more points and a top 10 but they did us proud, id say thats them finished with eurovision now though.
May 27, 201213 yr San Marino is a funny one, they gave Ireland 12 points in the semi and then gave us nothing in the final. What's up with that?
May 28, 201213 yr Ya i dont get that, you expect at least 1 point in the final after getting 12 in the semi, although they had an extra 15 songs to choose from in the final and they have found all those better unfortunatly.
May 28, 201213 yr They've said they're not coming back next year (unless the president asks them, which he won't) thank God. Not that we'll send anyone better. The other Eurosong contestants were dire this year.
May 28, 201213 yr While i have enjoyed Jedward both years im glad they wont be back as it would just look desperate for them, i think Eurovision has benefited them though and certainly hasnt done any harm to their career and they have picked up some European sales which they would have never done without the competition. My worry is without Jedward the Eurosong for Ireland has been nothing short of terrible and on that basis it could be a while before Ireland qualify for the Eurovision final.
