With "Waterline" set to climb the Irish charts as we get closer to the contest, today saw the exclusive first play of the song they've recorded for the Euro 2012 championships. Here's the official video......

#yleeurovision is trending worldwide! I think it's something to do with Jedward appearing on Finnish television from what I can gather from the tweets. Definitely shows there is still massive interest in Jedward I think! :o
Ya i also think there is still big interest in Jedward, lets hope so anyhow as i really want Ireland to make the top 10 again this year.

I heard Jedward singing on the late late show on Friday. The backing singers were actually appalling.

It's made me question our chances to be honest.

That was a dire performance alright! Hope they are a lot better on the night....
The late late performance was weak enough and not as good as eurosong night at all, one of the backing singers(female) could be heard way above everyone and i mean that in bad way and there were quiet a few parts out of tune in general, if they perform like that in the semi final i wouldn't be so sure at all of them qualifying for the final.
I would agree, but i would also say the camera work could have done a bit better which would have added huge value.
"Waterline" bounces back up the Irish chart on it's 13th week moving from 28 to 10! Jedward are also at 9 (down from 6) with their new single "Put The Green Cape On" which, as mentioned previously, is actually "Lipstick" with new lyrics.
I hope waterline gets a new peak next week, i actually expected much higher than number 10 for this week to be honest.

Amazing song. Deserved to do so much better in the chart.

I actually preferred it to "Lipstick" last year, but I loved them both ofc.

Definitly deserved more points and a top 10 but they did us proud, id say thats them finished with eurovision now though.

San Marino is a funny one, they gave Ireland 12 points in the semi and then gave us nothing in the final.

What's up with that?

Ya i dont get that, you expect at least 1 point in the final after getting 12 in the semi, although they had an extra 15 songs to choose from in the final and they have found all those better unfortunatly.
They've said they're not coming back next year (unless the president asks them, which he won't) thank God. Not that we'll send anyone better. The other Eurosong contestants were dire this year.

While i have enjoyed Jedward both years im glad they wont be back as it would just look desperate for them, i think Eurovision has benefited them though and certainly hasnt done any harm to their career and they have picked up some European sales which they would have never done without the competition.

My worry is without Jedward the Eurosong for Ireland has been nothing short of terrible and on that basis it could be a while before Ireland qualify for the Eurovision final.
