In 2004 they were HUGE, they had the biggest-selling album of the year and this is their comeback. It's a brilliant song as well, but the best they've done before is #5 so people are doubting they'll do that well -_-

Whereas Robbie seems to do well with whatever he brings out (except Sin Sin Sin )

I do know that this is their comeback, but still I think there's much more hype about them now than there was in 2004, that's just my personal impression.

The times when Rob got really good charts positions with whatever he releases have been over for a while I think and I'm not only talking about Sin here. Single-wise his best time was during the Sing When You're winning period, that was when he got top 5 with everything.

i think people should remember that Sin came off the 3rd biggest selling album of the year. So I don't view it as a flop and anyone hearing it LIVE and being in the audience would not believe that it was his least successful.

A few other popular UK artists did not achieve that claim to fame in 2005 with there singles and albums.

Rudebox is a grower. I hope it continues to grow on people.

I often reflect back on Robbie's material and everyone of them is top notch professionalism, once you get the predjucies out of the way.

I'm still confused. If pre-release downloads arent counted until the physical CD is actually released, how come Justin Timberwolf got to No 13 or something on Sunday on downloads alone when his actual CD single wasn't on sale till Monday?

Where's that oven?

I'm confused myself now

Here we go again

Just go and download it  where is that oven

Can you not get the ferry to Holyhead, download it and then get the ferry back?

Call yourself a fan?

Wednesday's Update

1 [01] Scissor Sisters I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (Radio Edit)

04 [05] Nelly Furtado Feat. Timbaland Promiscuous

14 [51] Robbie Williams Rudebox

Numbers in brackets are Tuesday's position. iTunes thread

Perfect timing by Robbie, looks like we got a challenger here for next weeks #1 :dancing:

Pretty much guaranteed to Go Top40 this week, and looks like it could be peaking at right time, lets see if Thurday he's Top10 and Friday Top5.

Would think Robbie want's to be Top5 to overtake Nelly F And Scissor Sisters next week.

So glad of some good news

Thanks e-motion. I doubt he will be #1 but a top 5 hit would be great :D

Blimey, you guys weren't joking when you said this was a confusing discussion!

I won't pretend to understand it at all, but I have downloaded Rudebox this week and will happily do it again next week - as well as buying a few physical copies!

It's a great track and deserves to do well. So true about it being a grower too - my girls have even seen the light now! :yahoo: Sadly though, my hairdresser hasn't heard it and didn't even know Robbie had a new single out - and she's going to Milton Keynes! I think she's in for a shock lol!

Hi there, Rock DJ, glad you decided to join in - and share total confusion with us.

At least you know I haven't exaggerated

no. 14 on itunes, that doesn't sound so bad. Fingers crossed the upward trend will continue

Ah, can I add a few things.

If you download this week it will count towards this weeks chart, published this coming Sunday 3rd September. If you purchase on download or physical from Sunday 3rd onwards, they count towards next weeks chart published 10th September.

Not all places count to the UK chart, for example HMV online if you read the small print is located in Guernsey which other have said before is not part of the UK.

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/navigate.do?ct...-1&pPageID=1071

'HMV' means HMV Guernsey Limited of Coutts House, Le Truchot, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1WD, any connected organisation that actually supplies goods ordered by you and any successor to its business;

:o

HMV On-Line doesn't count? Drat. I've ordered from there. I'll just need to download a couple more copies then.

So we are better to download next week then to maximise sales figures for next weeks chart?

Ive ordered the two from HMV aswell. I prefer to have the cds sitting on my shelf ;)

How much does a download cost?

same price as on the official site

does that count? sorry if its a stupid question, but you know me, Im normally good at that
