I think I have got this now, they add the weeks previous downloads to the physical sales on the w/c 4th September..Is that right?

that's right

Well that makes it even more confusing cause everyone was saying that the Scissor Siters would'nt get to #1 due to it being released to download so much earlier

Maybe it is just the 1 week before it's physical released which matter?

Because the single was released too early on downloads, everybody thought wouldn't go to #1 when it gets physically released, as you quoted its just the 1 week before it's physical release, as the other week's don't get added.

I didn't think they got added

It can chart this week on this weeks download sales.

Then next weeks downloads will be added to physicals next week. Surely they don't add in previous weeks sales again ;)

I would have thought the best week to download to boost peak position would be next week

I think I'm going to put my head in the oven. My brain hurts so much. And I still don't understand.

You can still singe your hair..lol

Right lost the plot again Mikey, the physical sales is the 4th September, so this weeks downloads get added to that weeks hard copies..right or not right??

Right... I'm in better frame of mind now.

I've asked this question to someone else, pre sales (downloads) don't get added to the total sales of its first week in the chart on a pre-release week. The sales are counted from its initial physical and combined release, in Robbie's case for example, any download sales are not eligible for the chart until its physically released next Monday.

My head hurts now.

Ok Thanks Mikey  . So the morale of the story is

DON'T DOWNLOAD YET....WAIT TILL MONDAY

Ive already ordered it now

how confusing. The Sun reported that with the downloads yesterday, Scissor Sisters should go to No.1, they had 5,000 orders. I don't understand that report then if the fig are not taken from this weeks downloads

So can we download it again then, and would that download of next week count? I downloaded it yesterday. Can we do it twice.

I so much want Rudebox to get into the top 10. Robbie has the balls to do something totally different. I would love it to have a good showing. No matter how controversial it is. Love or Hate it, you have to admire him.

It is a grower and the more you hear it alot of people will say just what JDL said. "I'm lovin it now"

This is just far to confusing. Has it made it into the top 20 on i-tunes yet?

Downloading it this week and perhaps getting it into the top 10 wil obviously make it far more easy for it to be a hit ^_^ I have little doubt it will go top 10. ^_^
