I am guessing / Hoping that they recorded the vocals for DJ Fresh to remix or whatever he needs to do, so the song is released. It will probs be on his album tho. I tweeted him last year asking for a collab and he replied he would like to collaborate with them in a hot tub...

What a creep.

What a creep.

Most men would wish for that, I don't think they are creep...they are men yaknow.

I don't really like what he's doing so I'm glad they didn't do any music with him yet.

I think they went with 'Gentleman' as a single release because of Rochelle not dominating the whole song, I could see them releasing ' Not Giving Up On Love ' next as It's heavily Rochelle.

Gentleman might not be dominated by Rochelle, but there's still plenty of her in it. Also, I would hope that wasn't the primary factor that determined the single choice  I don't think Rochelle has taken the back seat in a single or b-side since AFU.

Yeah I don't think they chose their singles regarding of who sings the most or the least.

I think, with Gentleman, the point is obvious. Showing that the album has more than dance tracks like What About Us. That was a mistake, though.

You release your amazing songs first, even if they sound similar, and then when you have worn out all the people that could buy that kind of music, you release the "~different~" track or the ballad.

There was no point in releasing Gentleman right now. It should have been released after the album.

Regarding Rochelle, she IS dominating the song. I really don't know why people assume it's a "Una track". From the start of the song to after the rap, it goes like this in terms of pure solo : Rochelle > Vanessa > Una > Mollie > Frankie.

As I said, that doesn't take the last bit of the song in, but still. I suppose Una could equal Vanessa's share on the song with her mutliple "so 1999!" after the rap and I'm sure Frankie equals Mollie with the falsetto/head voice part (it depends if we're saying the last line in the chorus is hers. I mean it is for the first chorus, but Vanessa is all over Frankie for the rest of them), but Rochelle is the one who sings the most in the song overall.

You have to remember that Una doesn't sing at all in the chorus, that she has no part in the rainbow middle-8, her rap bit only last 3 sec (while Vanessa raps for like 14 seconds!), etc.

Yeah, it seems as though Rochelle has solidified herself as lead singer (if you can even call it that). They've always been great with sharing vocals, but it's rare that a girl group actually changes lead singers (or most dominant singers) throughout their career.

I wonder if Frankie and Mollie will take the lead on some album tracks. They never do on the singles.

Frankie has a great share of vocals on some tracks. Faster comes to mind.

Mollie's vocals are usually smaller, but she got a lot more of them throughout the songs and throughout their albums than Frankie.

If they think one of them isn't confident enough to perform it live, they can still add backing vocals from the other girls. Again, Faster comes to mind. I think Frankie wasn't confident enough to do or just couldn't do the chorus on her own. Or maybe it's her voice live which isn't as strong as in the studio (the chorus og If This Is Love is another example).

Mollie said on a radio show that they know the weaknesses and strengths within the group. If they ever had to perform a song heavily led by Mollie or Frankie, I think they can work their way around it. Technically, it shouldn't be a problem, because Mollie and even Frankie can sing just fine, but if they truly worry about it, I'm sure they can turn a Frankie lead song into a full group effort, for example.

As far as I'm aware the only song picked for who sang on it was MHTO, as that was during Una's pregnancy and they weren't shore how much if any Frankie they would have for the promo so they needed a song with no vocals from both of them.
I think from where they first started to where they are now has increased dramatically. I love how Mollie (and even Frankie in some ways) are getting more parts in songs. ie, 30 Days and What About Us. I am really hoping on the album there is a song similar to Wish I Didn't Know that starts off with Mollie and is almost a MolUna dominated chorus. I love the blend of their vocals.

Next single is up tempo and they're hoping for a ballad for Xmas.

Also, they completely ignored 30 Days when mentioning whats on the next album.

It's better to ignore that song :P

I want them to hype this album up a bit more

I love 30 Days, don't get me wrong...But don't you want an extra track that you haven't heard instead of 30 Days?

I don't hate it, not at all. It's just that it was released one year ago and I'll be pissed if it took the place of another potential good track.

I don't see why people think 30 Days would take the place of another track, just because it is there (if it is) doesn't mean it has deprived another song from being on the album, it could just be that nothing else they recorded was album worthy, and why not put this song we released as a single instead.

I find it hard to believe that in one year, they couldn't find something better than 30 Days. And it's not only about that, it's also that another track could add some variety to the album, you never know.

I see why some people think that 30 Days doesn't belong on the album, but in my opinion it can't hurt to include it. Yes it's old and yes it could potentially mean one less new song, but at the end of the day around 100k people liked 30 Days enough to buy it, so it could help the album. If they're going to leave 30 Days off due to low sales they might as well leave Gentleman off too.

Going from what Ness said to Digital Spy chances are high that they're releasing the DJ Fresh track, which if not the last recording, one of the last to finish for the album.

Just refreshed my mind with Not Giving Up On Love. Sounds better than I remembered it. I wouldn't have wanted it instead of Gentlemen though. Gentlemen sounded a lot more quirky and different. Lease My Love is growing on me as well.

I thought those recording sessions never worked out.

However, I'm sure you will get in touch soon enough with them about the next single. Your remixes have been flawless this far.

Ohh I just assumed that since Ness said they're wrapping up a recording for the next single I just thought it was the DJ Fresh track as that was/is one of the last of the tracks.

Thank you very much :)

Well, I don't know, I'm asking you ha! I thought Una said DJ Fresh got sick or something and it never worked out. Did they record it afterall?

You're welcome!
