1D on "Good Morning America" trow.... expect another increase in sales... this album is going to sell and sell in the summer. And I'm sure Cowell will have them once if not twice on X Factor come autumn.
Platinum DVD in USA need 50k, so if 1D have 6 times platinum it means that they sold over 300k dvds :o
OMG! But not surprised considering the world needed a sugary sweet boyband AND with the power of social media, it's spreading like wildfire.

The have a 6 times platinum but in Australia, sorry for a mistake.

One Direction makes a big sales jump with its "Up All Night" set, rising 12% up one slot to No. 4. Promotion and publicity surrounding the act's home video release "Up All Night: The Live Tour" certainly drove sales last week. The video bows atop the Music Video Sales chart with 76,000 sold. It's the best debut week this year for any music video release, and the largest bow since Adele's "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" launched at No. 1 on Dec. 17, 2011 with 96,000.

What you might not know about One Direction is that they already represent a $50 million business - and that's a figure we expect to double next year,” Gatfield said about the Syco-signed band, before pointing to another positive impact the group has had on the domestic market.

“The team around them - which includes musicians, stylists, producers, tour managers and so on - account for around 90 people,” he explained. “That's 90 jobs created by these five boys.”

Thanks... so it could be close with Bieber the next few weeks and then we have to see how the album holds up. My guess is 1D will, in the long run beat Bieber because Bieber's had 2-3 singles out already and I don't know what left's to promote. I can easily see 1D's album closing in on 2mil by end of 2012
This data are from Billboard top 200 so it doesn't count last week, so 1D sold almost 820k, Bieber will sell this week around 400-500k, then 150-200, then around 100, so even in the best case for him he doesn't will overtake 1D soon, maybe never.

I don't think that Bieber album will do that well as radio isn't behind him much this time. They're hardly playing the follow up singles to Boyfriend.

Billboard.com estimates that he will sell this week 400-500k, and in second week he will sell at least 30% of 1 week sale.

Unfortunetely i have no idea how many copies sold TW in usa. GYC sold 2765 k, in next 2 weeks i have only an estimations 46-73k, 40-76k. So they definitely sold more than 86k, and less than 149k. I guess it's around 2875k. In 3 weeks WMYB will pass 3mln mark, and overtake GYC.

When my estimations was around 2 mln, the official report said that they sold 2.3 mln, so I think that they soon should be over 3 mln mark.

One Direction DVD's chart run 1-1-1-1-1-1 (195k), their album is currently at #2 (around 933k) If Adele and One Direction hold their rankings, this will be the first year in Nielsen SoundScan history in which U.K. acts account for the year's top two albums. WMYB sold a little bit more than 2960k, and GYC sold around 2950k. The 1D song advances 8-7 on the year-to-date chart. The Wanted album sold more than 110k copies.
