Posted February 25, 201213 yr So, last week's first heat was a bit of a DAMP SQUIB what with there only actually being four and a half songs that Buzzjack as a whole actually LIKED (and hence the qualifiers being v obv), but nonetheless we had Loreen and Marie taking the fast train to Bracknell for the final and Afro-Dite and Abalone Dots trundling their way through East Anglia to Bury for the andra chansen round in three weeks. So, on we go with hopefully the more contested heat II, the real thing hosted in Göteborg, but the Buzzfest equivalent hosted in FABULOUS DUDLEY in the West Midlands http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/06/19/article-1027699-01ABBBC800000578-520_468x312.jpg Right, enough of that shit. In the real thing schlager hearts were (inevitably) broken as three men qualified with only Timoteij flying the flag for a bit of FUCK OFF GOOD POP, and even then in andra chansen, but let's see if Buzzjack can't remedy the Ulrik/David/Top Cats qualifiers... Voting will be done in the following manner: 12 10 8 6 4 2 Votes are sent to me (Veriloquy) by PM. This week's deadline is Saturday 3 March 14:00. Anyway, who's after our votes this week? http://svt.se/svts/article3140.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Ulrik1.jpg 01 Ulrik Munther - 'Soldiers' Text och Musik - Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, David Jackson, Ulrik Munther and Johan Åberg The Swedish love-child of Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran HORRIFIED us all by easily qualifying with his disgustingly likeable midtempo with heavy beats, but can he succeed twice and directly qualify to Bracknell in Buzzfestivalen? http://svt.se/svts/article3141.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Top%20Cats2.jpg 02 Top Cats - 'Baby Doll' Text och Musik - Lina Eriksson, Mårten Eriksson and Susie Päivärinta Oh my. It's better if I stay quiet on this one as I have quite the PENCHANT for this half of Lili och Susie co-write rockabilly number which more than slightly apes Written In The Stars, and this isn't a likely qualifier. Can Top Cats hope to make it as far as Bury St. Edmunds for andra chansen or will their hopes die in Dudley Borough Council's Shedstone Theatre? http://svt.se/svts/article3156.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Sonja%20Alden2.jpg 03 Sonja Aldén - 'I din himmel' Text och Musik - Sonja Aldén, Bobby Ljunggren and Peter Boström :( Poor Sonja goes away for five years after scoring the biggest Melodifestivalen radio hit EVER with För att du finns and the Swedish public repay her and her LOVELY BRIDGE/ballad about some lover who's carked it (I think) with SIXTH PLACE. Words will be had if this doesn't make it to Bury St. Edmunds at least (namely between ME + MY PET NOOSE) http://svt.se/svts/article3330.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Andreas%20Lundstedt1.jpg 04 Andreas Lundstedt - 'Aldrig aldrig' Text och Musik - Randy Goodrum, Niclas Lundin and Maria Marcus Old RIDDLED Alcazar alumnus Andreas has spent years trying to give Sweden THE GIFT to no avail after Magnus Carlsson pissed off when he found out what it was, to zero avail. Would Buzzjack like to go to bed with Andreas tonight (via Bracknell)? http://svt.se/svts/article3329.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Timoteij1.jpg 05 Timoteij - 'Stormande hav' Text och Musik - Kristian Lagerström, Johan Fjellström, Stina Engelbrecht and Jens Engelbrecht DISCO EMOTICONS AND POPPERS AT THE READY. The songwriting team behind Sarek knew a WINNER* when they saw one and knocked together a quick dancefloor stormer for the LASSES, who proceeded to suck the life out of it in Timoteij fashion by not knowing when to DROP THE INSTRUMENTS, but word has it they'll be Lolita'ing it up in short skirts without knickers for their Dudley performance so NEVER FEAR Buzzjack (and send them to Bracknell) *of andra chansen http://svt.se/svts/article3155.svt/ALTERNATES/large/David%20Lindgren.jpg 06 David Lindgren - 'Shout It Out' Text och Musik - Fernando Fuentes and Tony Nilsson He looks a bit weird doesn't he? Sweden decided to forgive David's mega fashion faux pas in wearing trainers with a suit jacket (if ZELJKO COULDN'T then YOU CAN'T) and sent him through with this catchy little Taio Cruz-esque number (performed with great effervescence), but will Buzzjack be as enthusiastic? http://svt.se/svts/article3326.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Mimi%20Oh1.jpg 07 Mimi Oh - 'Det går för långsamt' Text och Musik - Niclas Lundin and Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad 80s revivalist Mimi Oh crashed out LAST in real life, but I have a feeling she'll do slightly better here. Bracknell or Bury for this jaunty electroconfection? http://svt.se/svts/article3320.svt/ALTERNATES/large/Thomas%20Di%20Leva2.jpg 08 Thomas Di Leva - 'Ge aldrig upp' Text och Musik - Thomas Di Leva Last week's eighth position sailed through with EASE, however I don't think Madame Di Leva here will be going u-u-u-u-u-u-up. I can SENSE IT IN MY WATERS. Let's see how he does anyway. In copy-paste mode: Ulrik Munther - Soldiers Top Cats - Baby Doll Sonja Aldén - I din himmel Andreas Lundstedt - Aldrig aldrig Timoteij - Stormande hav David Lindgren - Shout It Out Mimi Oh - Det går för långsamt Thomas Di Leva - Ge aldrig upp Go go go! February 25, 201213 yr Voted, since voting on Moopy my top 2 have switched places but beyond that tis all the same. I don't actually dislike anything I gave points to this time, as opposed to Heat 1, but the top 3 are miles above the rest.

Is Tirren running the exact same thing on there? Will be interesting to see how the final results compare between the forums I guess... Anyway, voting now!
February 25, 201213 yr Author On Moopy? Is Tirren running the exact same thing on there? Will be interesting to see how the final results compare between the forums I guess... Anyway, voting now! Oh no, they've been doing it for years (although I am running heat three over there at the moment), it just seemed a logical step to have it over here!
February 25, 201213 yr Oh no, they've been doing it for years (although I am running heat three over there at the moment), it just seemed a logical step to have it over here! What's the general music taste there. Is schlager more or less likely to qualify to the final? Do the ladies dominate there too?
February 25, 201213 yr The result from Heat 1 on Moopy are identical I think, women do tend to dominate (naturally), but I think this year that's as much to do with the quality being poor, especially on the male end and especially in Heat 1.
February 25, 201213 yr DIREKT Sonja Aldén Timoteij ANDRA CHANSEN David Lindgren Andreas Lundstedt 5th: Mimi Oh 114pts 6th: Ulrik Munther 80pts 7th: Thomas Di Leva 32pts 8th: Top Cats 26pts That's the Heat 2 results (based on 21 voters).
February 25, 201213 yr Voted, somehow I managed to miss the first one totally and didn't even realise it was happening :drama:
February 29, 201213 yr bump? Is everyone voting on this one? ^_^ Every0one go and vote for that underrated Aldrig Aldrig.
February 29, 201213 yr DIREKT Sonja Aldén Timoteij ANDRA CHANSEN David Lindgren Andreas Lundstedt 5th: Mimi Oh 114pts 6th: Ulrik Munther 80pts 7th: Thomas Di Leva 32pts 8th: Top Cats 26pts That's the Heat 2 results (based on 21 voters). Interesting...I'd expect David to go through with Timoteij here, I don't think that Sonja has such a loyal BJ fanbase as she clearly has on Moopy.
March 1, 201213 yr Author Sonja doesn't really HAVE a loyal fanbase on Moopy. Everyone thought the one Sonja loon who ran that heat had fixed it!
