I dare say you've seen the graphs on my website before, but those just covered 2008-2011.

 

I've now updated them to cover 2007-2012 (so far), so enjoy...

PS, I had to guess at a few blank weeks for singles in 2007, but the album totals are all official.

 

I'm also trying to go further back, but information is more sketchy for 2006, and especially before that.

Any reason 2007 is listed after 2012 on the keys?

 

Thanks for this info :D Great to see 2012 singles totals all above the other years.

Is it possible we will just keep getting higher or will things even out eventually?

Only because there's no easy way to re-order them.

Pity the quality of the songs themselves haven't improved since the mid-00's though... ;)
