Posted February 26, 201213 yr I dare say you've seen the graphs on my website before, but those just covered 2008-2011. I've now updated them to cover 2007-2012 (so far), so enjoy... http://www.vidcapper.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/WeeklySingles.gif http://www.vidcapper.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/WeeklyAlbums.gif The new info is that with the dots on the lines. [source : Weekly Music Week sales reports] PS, I had to guess at a few blank weeks for singles in 2007, but the album totals are all official. I'm also trying to go further back, but information is more sketchy for 2006, and especially before that. Edited February 26, 201213 yr by vidcapper
February 26, 201213 yr Any reason 2007 is listed after 2012 on the keys? Thanks for this info :D Great to see 2012 singles totals all above the other years.
February 26, 201213 yr Is it possible we will just keep getting higher or will things even out eventually? 2011-13% increase 2012-7% increase
February 26, 201213 yr Author Any reason 2007 is listed after 2012 on the keys? Only because there's no easy way to re-order them. Thanks for this info :D Great to see 2012 singles totals all above the other years. Pity the quality of the songs themselves haven't improved since the mid-00's though... ;)
February 27, 201213 yr Author PS, I had to guess at a few blank weeks for singles in 2007, but the album totals are all official. I'm also trying to go further back, but information is more sketchy for 2006, and especially before that. Following up on this, I'm hoping to be able fill in few of those blanks from someone with old copies of MW.
