April 19, 201213 yr Author I thought ep 3 was really good again. Some brilliant editing, and the scenery is just breathtaking. My only worry though is screen time for the characters. If you've not read the books it is so hard to keep with up all the characters. I'm just glad that as soon as some characters are introduced, a few more are killed off!
April 30, 201213 yr I knew it was coming, but that death was really sad. Bye goes my 2nd favourite character.
May 1, 201213 yr Author I knew it was coming, but that death was really sad. Bye goes my 2nd favourite character. Was surprised it happened so early on in the episode. The shock value might have been better if it was at the end. It was another brilliant episode. The CGI is fantastic, nice to finally see the dragons again!
May 7, 201213 yr I absolutely ADORE this show, my favourite thing on tv for a very long time. I only began watching it when I bought the first series a couple of weeks ago but I'm already up to date and looking forward to episode six this very eve. I too was sad at that death, there was clearly so much scope for what (s)he could have done... but alas it was not to be.
May 8, 201213 yr Just started watching this w/ my boyfriend. We got 3 episodes in and I won't see him till this weekend and we promised we would only watch together (it's KILLING ME). Needless to say, I can easily see myself getting addicted to this.

Needless to say, I can easily see myself getting addicted to this. Just wait until you get to episode 6/7! What a brilliant episode tonight. The scenes in Qarth are utterly beautiful. So much happened in the episode I wouldn't even know where to begin. By far the best thing on TV at the moment.
May 8, 201213 yr This show is fast becoming one of my favourites ever, probably be in my top 3 already. The last episode had me in bits on more than one occasion. I'm currently about halfway through the 2nd book and have already bought the 3rd (both volumes) becoming addicted!
May 8, 201213 yr After watching 16 episodes in the past week, I really am not sure I can wait a full week for the next one! Argh... :( It must be relatively simple to make the show too as everyone is always in the same surroundings (yet different ones for each house) so it would be possible to shoot it fairly quickly (i.e. GIVE ME TWO MORE SERIES THIS YEAR PLEASE)
May 8, 201213 yr Author After watching 16 episodes in the past week, I really am not sure I can wait a full week for the next one! Argh... :( It must be relatively simple to make the show too as everyone is always in the same surroundings (yet different ones for each house) so it would be possible to shoot it fairly quickly (i.e. GIVE ME TWO MORE SERIES THIS YEAR PLEASE) HBO wanted to film both seaspns 3 & 4 together, but it takes so long to write and produce I don't think it is humanly possibly to do more than 10 episodes a season. I'm already wondering what the cliffhanger will be this season. Probably something to do with the battle for the Iron Throne or Dany crossing the sea, argh!
May 16, 201213 yr OH MY GOD (Bran and Rickon clearly not dead, but all the same) Definitely not! As I said to Mr D*, if they were dead then this is the type of show that wouldn't have missed the chance to actually show it in it's full gory detail!
May 16, 201213 yr Quite, but still a pretty dark move, then again in the grand scheme of things it probably isn't all that dark. Catelyn was totally amazing in that episode, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHO I AM SIR *.*
May 16, 201213 yr My only slight misgiving with the show is how storylines of some characters seem to get dropped. I mean, where exactly has Stannis gone?!!! Although it is only a minor grumble, the rest of the show is perfection itself.
May 16, 201213 yr From what I've read Stannis is in the next 3 episodes quite a bit. I guess with a cast of about 200 there's always going to be someone left out. It's definitely been more of an issue with S2 though, but then the cast is bigger than it was during S1 and they are a lot more spread out.
May 17, 201213 yr Author My only slight misgiving with the show is how storylines of some characters seem to get dropped. I mean, where exactly has Stannis gone?!!! Although it is only a minor grumble, the rest of the show is perfection itself. Tyrion said Stannis is 4 days away from Kings Landing! Guess there's gonna be the inevitable Baratheon vs Lannister battle. I don't think it's that noticeable when he's not in the show. He's obviously a major player, but in terms of the TV show I think Ayra, Tyrion, Jon and Dany are probably the main players. Without them in the show I think the story really suffers (in TV terms). I think they've handled the rise of Theon remarkably aswell. In Season 1 he was barely in it, now he's a key character. They've paced it brilliantly.
May 21, 201213 yr Hmmmm...I'm finding this season's deviations from the book harder and harder to swallow. In season 1 the bits that weren't in the book weren't really plot deviations, more just filling out characters. However, this year, they seem to be taking quite a few liberties with the plot. I don't mind the streamlining, like merging Renly's death and the castellan of Storm's End, but I don't like what they've done with Dany's story especially. Granted, she doesn't have much to do in the book, but if they had stuck to the source material we could've had some nice scenes with her and Jorah (like when he tells her about the woman he was in love with) as she comes to terms with the power she has been given. Instead, she's just going round like a spoiled brat ranting about "fire and blood" and "taking what is mine." Season 3 spoiler: I'm hoping as Dany journeys to slaver's bay we get her caring side again, as well as seeing her kick ass with the dragons. I seriously can't wait to see the scene in Astapor. I think it's my favourite chapter in the whole series of books.
May 21, 201213 yr And surprisingly, my least favourite part of A Clash of Kings is Theon's storyline, however in the TV programme it's possibly my favourite. I think the most powerful scenes have been in Winterfell this year, mainly thinking of Rodrik's beheading.
May 21, 201213 yr Author The trailer for episode 9 is amazing. George RR Martin wrote this episode. It looks out of this world incredible. It looks like it's been shot beautifully.
