I don't recall Dandy specifying a time for the results, at all. He only estimated the results would be today.

IIRC, that is.

This was my understanding aswell, it was just the first thing I recall being posted in regards to the scheduling and that some of the, shall we say, less patient members of the forum, would latch onto this as gospel.

Sounds good, are you allowing our votes to count?

Take your time! :cheer:

Looking forward to the results! :D

And just to add my opinion on the voting debate, I will have to agree with Oricon in that when you allow people to vote past the deadline, you will get the situation where more and more people will vote late because they know they will be accepted anyway :) I've got nothing against Casey and Lee - so don't think I'm picking on you :)

Not really. The same people tend to vote early, the same people tend to vote late. They'll never really change, I see no real advantage of making such an issue of it.

I understand your point and I guess it is up to the host and how it will affect any preparation that has been done :)

It's not like I voted a day after the dedline or over 2hours, it was less than one hour, I do agree, I can't see it having much impact as the results were not immediatly after it, and It's supposed to be "fun"

It will be a shame if it stops me from progressing though!

Let's face it, it's me so there will be minimal preparation!

However, Lee's votes DO change who qualifies so I don't feel I can accept them. I am sorry for this but, as it makes a difference, I think it's only fair to everyone to fall back on the rules that were set out from the beginning.

Yeah, I understand that it was only 20 minutes or so. I think the issue is that your points could affect the qualifiers and the fact they were received after the deadline, people may feel that accepting them is unfair on themselves if they miss out on the final because of it :)

Indeed. The rules are there for a reason. Maybe you can bend them sometimes, but they should never be broken, not by a host at least.

Haha!

This is the main issue I think. If it does affect who qualifies or not then it is unfair on those who miss out because of these late votes :)

Do you have a rough time of when the results will start because I don't want to go offline and then miss them! :kink:

fair enough I was a silly 30minutes late, but as said, it's not like the results were yesterday and I did actually spend time voting and I did attempt to get them in town, I just couldn't get on my computer before 12 on Monday!

MUTINY will happen.

I know in some odds Aquafina has been one of the favourites, so with any luck you will still qualify anyway :D

Your entry is strong anyways Lee, I have seen it in numerous personal charts in the forum anyways so you actually might have a chance at qualifying despite the host giving you the deduction.

This does tell you to not leave the voting til last minute though..

@Tirren in response to your previous comments. If the host just allowed any vote to be accepted after the deadline then what is the deadline there for then? It's practically just a date that anyone can ignore and vote as long as it's before the results. You might as well just remove the deadline and put the "Votes before the results or there will be deductions" principle in. Obviously there are exceptions like the misunderstanding when Martyn hosted but that's a complete different case this time as there were reminders sent prior to votes being closed with the deadline in bold in the OP.

Honestly had better/more important things to worry about this weekend than voting, I did vote though and a 33% deduction is always harsh especially when you do actually bother to vote!!!

Fair enough for people who don't bother to vote, but I actually did bother to vote just 30minutes late :(
