Byeeeeee !!!

*starts singing, badly, ' she's leavin on a jet plane...' *

Just watching Robin Hood Prince of Thieves on the telly for the 100th time. Just noticed that Kevin Costner played Robin with a 'full on' American accent
Obviously took lessons from Sean Connery in the accent department
When does Tess come back?

End of this month, IIRC....

I'm back... I had a lovely time . Cannot find the connection to load pics on to the web  , will keep looking.

Saw some bears in Vancouver up a mountain, they looked a bit tame

Weather was nice, had a chat with family, ate loads , sat around, also did lots of walking , hardly any shopping as it was massively expensive . Canadian people are very fit looking . Food was lovely especially the fish, was a bit of a shock to eat real salmon, you cannot get it here anymore which is a disgrace. Hotel was fab, not keen on their animals wellcome policy though especially when you see a dog sniffing at your breakfast :(

Awwww I love 'animals welcome' hotels and pubs. Then again, I'm used to a cat trying to sit on my dinner plate....

Glad you had a nice time. But I want photos :(

It was great Biggy. Had lunch in the rotating restaurant in the Space needle, not keen on American food, portions a wee bit too big. Went to see this place which was nearby by, it was breathtakingly beautiful http://www.chihuly.com/

Enjoyed the traintrip up & down to Seattle , lovely countryside , very green , a lot like Ireland actually

Well, it does tend to rain quite a bit in that corner of the US.....don't think there's that much difference in latitudes between Oregon/Washington state and Oirland...

They could spread it out a bit though Biggy & gice us a bit of sunshine every now & then & not just about every 5 years .... :(

I know what you mean, Tess, for I hear of people complaining who live in that area of the US about the never ending rains....
Hush. Nowhere rains as much as Scotland. And half the time it's horizontal.... <_<
Is it a Bank holiday in the Uk this coming weekend, it is over here , I have to work though so it makes little difference :(
This past weekend was the Memorial Day holiday here in the US, and I worked the actual holiday Monday, so, I know what it's like to work holidays....
No. The UK bank holiday was Monday past. It's always the last Monday in May. Lizzie's official birthday holiday.
