March 20, 201411 yr Was hearing/reading yesterday, that on the pilot's home flight simulator (a suspicious thing in and of itself), that a bunch of files had been deleted from it, that they were trying to somehow recover.... *yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn* scuse me...
March 20, 201411 yr Are you tired then Biggy  , I am tired as well , only one more day to go to the weekend & then I am off for two days as I never work Sat or Sunday, it's against my religion :P It's all rather odd with what happened, i wonder if it's the wreckage that in the sea south of Australia although it's a mighty long way away from where it started off.... I do not believe for one minute that satellites had not picked it up before now but with countries protecting their spying equipment etc I am afraid that peoples lives do not really matter to them  .
March 21, 201411 yr I'm tired, since, I haven't had an 'on time' night for getting out all week...after tonight, which is night 7 in a row I'll have worked, I'll have a 3 day weekend, which will be spent, much of it, sleeping...part of the reason for the late nights over the past weekend, a remote work computer server decided to crash Saturday night, and didn't come back up for 18 hours... Do you work on the Pharmacutical end of things Biggy or the techy side , just wondered when you mentioned computers.... Staying in bed too long is not good you know, you only need about 6-7 hrs sleep, I manage quite well on 5 & I am very old :P .... you need to get a good rest & then go out in the fresh air & get some exercise, you will not believe how good it will make you feel

March 23, 201411 yr Gosh that job I think would make me real nervous, I would be afraid that I would give someone the wrong thing
March 23, 201411 yr Well, with the computers/software used where I work, we scan the bar code on the prescription, and what's called the NDC on the medication, if the NDC on the prescription doesn't match what's on the medication container, a message in red will pop up on the computer screen, telling one a) the NDC is different, but it's the same dose form/strength, or b) it's the wrong med altogether.....as to a), we can try to locate the medication with the NDC on the prescription, or, if we can't find the medication with that NDC, we can have the NDC on the prescription changed to what we do have...so, we have little, if any, chance to mix up medications....not to say that medication mix-ups still don't happen, as they still do, but, the chances are lessened with all the computer stuff we use...
March 23, 201411 yr My neighbour once ran out of Oxycontin tablets & she sent me to the local chemist to get a loan of some until she got her prescription from the Doctor ... I nearly got myself arrested :o , they made a big deal about the whole thing as if I was a drug addict or something :(
March 23, 201411 yr I'm on loads of drugs at the moment. But at least we don't pay for our prescriptions in Scotlandshire. Otherwise I'd have been well skint this month.... :cheer:

March 28, 201411 yr Nurofen is more akin to ibuprofen..... http://www.drugs.com/uk/nurofen-200-mg-tab...-spc-10800.html Gabapentin is an anti-convulsant, which is also used in treatment for pain, like that of shingles, or sciatica..... http://www.drugs.com/gabapentin.html Edited March 28, 201411 yr by bigwiglaf
