Euphoria was by FAR my favourite track of last week. Mirakel, as much as I love it, was never going to do much in the final as it's too niche and novelty so I'm not too bothered about it coming last. And there's no way it will miss the Eurovision final :o 5. Yep, it's holding up well, although I'd be surprised if it gets as high as #2 whilst I'm still in full MF loon mode, I do really love the song and any other time of the year it would have been a two week #1 down to #2 this week :lol: 18. You won't have heard it because this isn't Katie's new single, it's a track from her new album that I love (and yes, it's a string laden ballad, nothing like The Flood). It's bad enough that this happens a lot with US rappers, but now Great Britain is acting like America's lost state. :( It's great to see British artists getting a big media push but when they're all doing the same type of music, what's the point? Meanwhile there are other British acts who are so different that these lables see them as too much of a risk and refuse to sign them up. So going back to the above comment, I do think there will always be an appetite for European music. Sadly only the "chosen ones" become successful like Gotye. The more people hear a big European hit, the more likely it will increase awareness of the song which means more sales. For eg, my dad was watching a boxing match on Eurosport last night. After the referee announced the winner, when everyone in the auditorium was cheering you could clearly hear Michel Teló 'Au Se Eu Ti Pego!' playing in the background. :lol: Now if Radio 1 had a one hour show in the afternoon playing the biggest European hits, I'm sure people would show interest and these tracks (assuming they're on iTunes) would start to sell.

Everything about last night was glorious - brilliant performance, wonderful personality (she's so cute!), comfortably on top in both votes (although god knows I was tense during the jury results). I don't expect the hype to let down either, surely the one to beat in Baku! 3. Danny Saucedo - Amazing (2) (CR-2-3) I would've forced myself to get to like this better had it won... but now that it hasn't, I think I can properly admit that I don't really like it :lol: Danny's first album was so strong, but he went off track rather quickly for me. Still, shame for him to come close to the win again... 6. Charlotte Perrelli - The Girl (9) (CR-9-6) Realised during the week how strong this really is, even more sadness that it failed so badly! It is rather bizarre that it took you so long to be won over by Euphoria when you were always one of Loreen's biggest supporters before. I guess it took me by surprise in that respect but it hasn't let up so far, it's amazing! 3.
