Bravery braced for comeback

Virgin.net

The Bravery's Sam Endicott has revealed that the band's second album will include a much larger range of styles than their debut record.

The New York-based outfit are currently working on their second album, which is set for release in 2007 and will be the follow up to their eponymous debut.

Frontman Endicott told MTV: "We've become a better band, thanks to touring for, like, 18 months, and it shows on the new record.

"There's more of a live-band thing going on. We went so synth-crazy on the first one, we kind of burned out on it, and so it's exciting to hear a piano or an acoustic guitar.

"The first record, everything was really speedy, and this one has a much wider range of styles: slow synth songs, rockers, dance songs."

The singer admitted they have not chosen a track to be the first single from the new album.

Endicott said: "I don't know what the first single will be. I'm no good at stuff like that. I just try to make 'em all good and whatever the people end up choosing, it'll be good. If I'm proud of all of them, then I'll be happy for whichever song they end up picking to be the first one out.

"So, at the moment, I would say there are 15 potential first singles on the record."

Did any of you like the Bravery's debut album?

I never bought the album, but 'Honest Mistake' is a brilliant song.

xXx

I sincerely hope that they have become a better band... The Bravery that I remember listening to on XFm sucked worse than a £20 quid hooker.....

a comeback? were they ever here?...lol

touche! They had ONE good song. The rest was utter c**p, wannabe Killers rip-off...

I don't expect much from this band at all and unless there is a lot of (good) buzz about the album I doubt I'll even listen to it...

One of the worst bands I saw live last year. Mind you, had I bothered to watch the Killers then they'd have given them a run for their money.

Hope both comeback LPs fail.

Their album was the most pile of meh I've ever heard  sure they had a couple of good songs like Unconditional but it wasn't exactly a good album.

Ok... well I completely disagree with most people :P

I liked the album... I mean it isn't the best album ever or anything but I enjoy listening to it.. it's good to drive to. (even if it does rip off the Killers)

Anyway, I still hope they might produce something a bit better lyrical wise.

Who are just a Faint knock-off...

but no one knows who the Faint are so who cares...

EVERY Band rips off another... the one that gets the sales is the one that gets the credit. The Killers were a manufactured band tho - must certainly...

Yeah, and The Killers are so original...

I never bought the album

you know you can pick it up loads of places for about £1.97 - £2.97. however if you buy it you might want to keep it quiet if you meet any trendy cool friends

I love The Bravery, their debut album is really good, my favourite song is "Fearless". So I eagerly await for this, I thought they'd never come back but these news are good!

Yeah, and The Killers are so original...

and the real killers are not as good as the fake killers who were just in that new order video
