So with Eleftheria winning tonight's Greek selection, two Cypriot-born singers will be in this year's Eurovision Song Contest - the other being Ivi Adamou representing Cyprus itself. Greece has had the majority of the recent success between these two countries, but can Cyprus finally steal some of the success?

 

Aphrodisiac and La La Love are both in a similar dance-pop genre, but which is your favourite? And which do you think will do the best in the contest? Will both reach the final?

Exactly what I think too :D I hope Cyprus can get a good result, they deserve it after some bad luck in recent years (Evridiki especially!)

I prefer Cyprus and I think they will qualify/get a good result but let's face it, Greece are Greece. They will do better. (especially as they have also sent a good song)

I would say this is the first time in a LONG time that Cyprus has a big chance to do very well, although Ivi lacks of "stage quality". I think it may have a surprising ending as in 2004 with Lisa Andreas, plus i can see both of them Top 10.

Both songs are bit too meh and oh so predictable.

Of course Greece will do better, even though Cyprus has a slightly better song IMO.

Cyprus has the better song, but Greece will do better. In fact, I think if 'La La Love' was the Greek entry, it would have a much higher chance of winning!

I think Greece will do better, but I prefer Cyprus. Never know though, who'd have thought Turkey and Armenia would fail to qualify last year?!

I feel like Greece should do better but you know how Eurovision is! Sometimes the safe stuff you expect to breeze through just doesn't happen. I can see both of these songs not qualifying!

I prefer La La Love but I think it will really underperform (in fact I'm not be surprised if it was a 'shock' DNQ a la Haba Haba actually, though it will probably get through and come like 18th), whereas Aphrodisiac will probbaly go top 10.

Cyprus' best entry for quite some time :o and Greece's best since Kalomira :kink: but I've got to give it to Greece this year.

Well it looks like nearly all of us predicted wrong, Cyprus beat Greece by 1 point!! Brilliant considering the much poorer draw than Greece! :cheer:
