March 18, 201214 yr Always great to see Bon Jovi back on the chart, what has helped livin on a prayer re enter though as to my knowledge it wasnt used on Dancing on Ice?
March 18, 201214 yr Author Always great to see Bon Jovi back on the chart, what has helped livin on a prayer re enter though as to my knowledge it wasnt used on Dancing on Ice? It was reduced to 59p on iTunes :P
March 18, 201214 yr 57 (71) The Black Keys 'Gold On The Ceiling' ^ Now the duo's highest-peaking single to date. Hoping 'Lonely Boy' can re-peak at some point too, possibly after a 59p reduction, would be a shame for the chart positions of this era's singles not reflect their success. Album has done incredibly well at the moment though, hopefully a platinum seller in the near future.
March 18, 201214 yr Was going to mention that about the black keys highest peak.....could have went top 40 if radio 1 had put it up from the clist...least its top 75 mainly due to the hype about the band and also the use in the cobra ad! also interesting to note madonnas celebration album rising to the top 60 the week before a definite collection by her and her new album are out! Edited March 18, 201214 yr by steve201
March 18, 201214 yr Also astounding that tygra hit the top 40 and MIA didnt?!!?But Paris sneaking a top 10 place at the last moment made up for it,especially since the 2nd version of Paris was falling most of the week!! Edited March 18, 201214 yr by steve201

And again, it's actually in the top 75 because it's 59p on iTunes :kink:
March 18, 201214 yr Yeah thats right a combination of that and the cobra beer add which has been on everywhere this week.
March 18, 201214 yr Noel out of the top 20 for the first time :( shame to see "Dream On" fall short of the top 40 as well but I'm surprised it got as high as #52 given the superior "If I Had A Gun..." only made #95.
March 18, 201214 yr Seven nation army by Marcus Collins unfortunatly didint suffer a big drop, i think he done alot of promo so the big fall should set in this coming week, im also happy his album didnt go top 5. Good to see Matt Cardle rise 18 places this week helps bring it a bit closer to platnum sales, Rebecca Ferguson and especially Will Young getting a nice climb back up the charts also. James Morrison also getting back into the top 50 is great, the album wont do near aswell overall as his previous 2 but least its continuing to sell in even small amount, hopefully it will eventually manage 400,000+
March 19, 201214 yr M.I.A was top 40 on itunes the whole week, it's weird that it didn't reach the official top 40 !!!!
March 19, 201214 yr its daily positions were 33-37-34-34-29-30 and it didnt go top 40....it only has that one entry on itunes though!
March 19, 201214 yr I THOUGHT M.I.A WAS COMING BACK WITH POWAH POWAH. I'm going to cry in a corner now.
March 19, 201214 yr I'd like to know why the astounding One Thing by One Direction hasn't done better.. they're one of the biggest British bands at the moment worldwide so I guess it doesn't matter in the big picture but would be very interesting if their career had this direction so soon in the UK. The album is struggling too and going to sell so much more in the US in couple of weeks alone than it's done in the UK.
March 19, 201214 yr One Direction have sold 550,000ish of their album according to the YTD albums thread. Not amazing, but definitely a good result considering the state the albums market is in atm. Not that I'm an uber fan but they are a niche pop act, who traditionally don't sell albums that well anyway.
March 19, 201214 yr James Morrison also getting back into the top 50 is great, the album wont do near aswell overall as his previous 2 but least its continuing to sell in even small amount, hopefully it will eventually manage 400,000+ What are the sales for his new album ?
