The ones that come to mind quickly are Mick Jones leaves Clash to form Big Audio Dynamite Paul Heaton leaves Housemartins and starts Beautiful South Paul Rodgers leaves Free and starts Bad Company Barney Sumner,Peter Hook disband Joy Division and metamorphisis into New Order Loads more I know, which ones can you think of?

Eric Clapton disbanding Cream and going solo Ozzy quitting Sabbath and going solo Johnny Rotten basically destroying The Sex Pistols live on-stage in NY and forming PiL Dave Mustaine getting chucked out of Metallica and forming Megadeth Bobby Gillespie getting chucked out of Jesus and Mary Chain and forming Primal Scream Dave Lee Roth quitting Van Halen and going solo Lee Dorian quitting Napalm Death and forming mighty Doom-Metallers Cathedral
March 22, 200619 yr Let's not forget the Housemartins bassist leaving to become, erm, Fatboy Slim. :lol: Joe Perry and Brad Whitford left Aerosmith to form The Joe Perry Project and (whatever Brad's pointless band was called, can't remember), only to go back a few years later.
