Sing and dance along in the aisles to hits including Like A Virgin, Papa Don’t Preach and Vogue and get drawn into the backstage dramas, on stage dance routines, deep-throating of water bottles and watching Madge fool around with her gay dancers. It is a highly stylized, modern house dance that evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene in the 1960s. It gained mainstream exposure when it was featured in Madonna’s video “Vogue” in 1990, and when showcased in the 1990 documentary Paris is Burning.
