Posted August 9, 200618 yr CANADIAN chart topper Nelly Furtado is planning to record a duet with Kylie Minogue for the Australian star's next album. The pair are to record a song with US super-producer Timbaland, the man behind Furtado's hit single Promiscuous and the new Justin Timberlake album. "I'm a fan of Kylie," Furtado said yesterday. "I wanted to reach out to her to do something on my album, but I didn't get around to it. Hopefully it'll pan out." Minogue's album, due for release next year, is shaping up as a star-studded affair. She has already recorded several tracks with flamboyant US band Scissor Sisters and other A-list pop production teams. Minogue's manager Terry Blamey said British reports the singer was doing six hours of training a day to prepare for her Australian tour in November were not true. August 9, 200618 yr Well, kylie could start a new direction ya know! I mean i love nelly furtado :wub: , but not as much now. She has sold her self to Timbaland to be big in America. Its sad really but thats where artists strive for success. Nelly has totally changed her music direction, she has had more success so far, but i prefer her the old way! Just hope this track doesnt Make KYLIE change her music, just to make americans happy! :angry:
August 9, 200618 yr its sounding like a mixed affair album,as working with timbaland and scissor sisters surly will deliver very different tracks,its sounding ok though and the nelly furtado duet should be interesting ad will no doubt be a single if it is recorded

August 9, 200618 yr ok guys calm down lol, its only a rumour so far. i agree with nelly selling out but the new music is goood. not as good as "like a bird" but still good. One collaberation wouldnt be so bad. id be curious to know wat it would sound like. but hey its a rumour so far.
August 9, 200618 yr 'Say It Right' (Nelly's single after the next) is IMO her best yet, I wouldn't mind a track in the same vein as that if this collaboration surfaces.

August 11, 200618 yr I would hurl dorito chunks if it happend! If any duets with Kylie are going to happen it should be with dannii or madonna atleast they are on a simmilar wave length of sound rather than nelly which is nothing like kylie.
