April 3, 201213 yr I don't want to cause a controversy. I was in a big trouble as my first choice was taken (it has never happened to me) and maybe I made a wrong decision. Sorry for that and if you want I can come up with a resolution (though I don't want this to happen).

Oh!!! :o Ida won Denmark's The X Factor and now she has her greatest achievement - representing Batidas in BJSC. :wub:

And it's slightly gutting that I can't vote for your entry in the semis, but I'm willing it through to the final!

April 3, 201213 yr The major difference for me is that Molly's song was a single, whereas Eric's wasn't. Maybe that's considered to be minor to some people, but it isn't to me and that's why I didn't vote to ban Eric, but did Molly. The whole Molly being in Melodifestivalen just a month ago also didn't help matters. I know there's a few grey areas and only a combination of 'cheap' factors leads to a veto but if you're bringing up the 'it was a single' arguement, 'New France' was released mere 2 weeks ago in the UK (not 45939 months ago like Spread a Little Light). Does it not matter? All of the 'indier' crowd are likely to already have heard the song. Emma Lewin's song is also a single as far as i know? And she, as a part of Sheelah, won the contest TWO times. That did generate over-hype and attention to her. But it is what it is. I'm not arguing, just want to know the reasons. :D

I have to admit, I did proclaim that the Cloetta Paris track would show up (see Tom's personal chart thread) and it didn't. But then, I wouldn't have been disappointed to see that turn up! Whatever will be, will be. The same goes for you, although surely the mighty Rontvia won't fall! (Oh and PROPS to Isconia for sending All the Rowboats - again, gutted I can't vote for you in the semis! Oh, what an unfortunate draw. :drama: )

Well we almost did last month! :lol: Nobody's safe, especially not in a semi with 24 countries in it :drama: I love this entry WAY more than I loved Wild Love though so I'd be crushed if it did!

I'm not arguing, just want to know the reasons. :D My reasoning behind the "it's a single" argument in this case is that a large number of people may have seen Molly in MF and decided to check out some more music of hers. Spread A Little Light would be the first port of call as it was the previous single, whereas I think less people will have heard an album track of Eric Saade when he is, at present, less relevent than Molly. I'm not for banning all singles, but if the artist is currently or recently has been relevent then it's likely that I will vote to ban singles by those artists. This is just my opinion though and there are 4 of us - the other 3 may not agree with my feelings in numerous cases and that's absolutely fine, but in this case we all agreed to block Molly.

April 3, 201213 yr I do find it strange as others that Molly was vetoed yet Eric was, but I understand the reasons given by the moderators so I'll leave it there :) On the topic of Emma, when I first confirmed her (before changing to Molly and then back again) I didn't realise she was part of Sheelah - so that was quite a shock when I found out afterwards!
