So the artist behind my first entry into the Buzzjack Song Contest (PRIDE) has released her album for free, and rather scandalously through The Pirate Bay. You can now get it through the less controversial SoundCloud, or a zip file from her website, where's there's a long letter of explanation.

My name is Sophia, but you can call me Soso.

I am nothing but a so-called “artist” with narcissistic tendencies.

I have written, produced and recorded this album in my bedroom.

It’s the story of my life.

Literally.

I am not poetic.

This project is an anti-social experiment pushing the boundaries of the music industry.

I have even gone so far that I have left my major record label

and started up my own.

I call it:

Do It Yourself Bitch Productions.

Not exactly revolutionary, but the music is good. I'm on my first listen now and it's very much in tune with the dark electro sound of 'Who's Gonna Love Me'. Here's track 2, 'Happy People', which is smashing.

Definitely a less controversial way to do it (especially scandously deciding on The Pirate Bay ), I like artists like this though, who don't follow the exact cookie cutter stereotype that they should.

Downloading now :D

Her first album (The Laptop Diaries) was fabulously weird. I'll give this a listen later. I do love Who's Gonna Love Me?

I have NOTHING BUT LOVE for Who's Gonna Love Me? so if the album is similar to that I fully expect I will be all over it *.*
