May 20, 201213 yr Author Ivi was amazing! So funny and happy! Please let her qualify! And she answered my question about how much she liked London! She said she loved it, but it was always raining!
May 20, 201213 yr Enough of THAT two-bit basic bitch, I just had a POWER-MINCE to L'amore e femmina. HOLLA @ ME DAVID If 'power-mince' means suddenly getting up and dancing your ass off while making up a dance routine then ME TOO. Around the same time as well (if my last.fm diesn't lie).
May 20, 201213 yr I'm slowly coming round to more of the songs after watching some of the rehearsal videos. The Hump was much better 2nd time around, and I think we'll do ok this year. We definitely don't deserve to be bringing up the rear with that song, it's actually pretty respectable. For me though, it's all about Loreen. Her 2nd rehearsal was magic. I like the staging, with the wind machine and just her for the majority of the track, and it all comes down to that voice and THAT CHORUS!! Depending on her placing in the running order, she could walk this. I can't believe that there is even a question over whether she will qualify or not though  Edited May 20, 201213 yr by PaulM1983
May 20, 201213 yr 'Euphoria' has been a hit in several countries before Eurovision which I don't think has ever happened previously. Well, 'Satellite' did because Germany/Austria/Switzerland have similar charts. Can't quite remember if 'Fairytale' had started charting outside of Norway before the contest. I think it was #1 in Sweden before Eurovision iirc. Loreen has already charted in #1 Finland #1 Sweden #3 Estonia #3 Israel #3 Lithuania #4 Norway *.*
May 20, 201213 yr I dont know why but the whole euphoria love is going over my head, i do like the song but i just dont think its anything special, its the type of song i would be happy to see complete the top 5 on the final but i definitly wouldnt pick it as the winner. For me though, i do like Sweden as there entries are in general among my faves and they put alot of effort into Eurovision so i would be in no way resentful if they won. May when i see euphoria been performed live on the night on the big stage etc i might start feeling the love that everyone else has for it, for me though Eric Sadde's popular was far far better than it.
May 20, 201213 yr Nina's second rehearsal went so much better than the first one. Hoping she can keep it up!
May 20, 201213 yr Enough of THAT two-bit basic bitch, I just had a POWER-MINCE to L'amore e femmina. HOLLA @ ME DAVID Excellent. Her second rehearsal was FANTASTIC. Emphasise the "boom" lines a bit more and it's a complete performance.
May 22, 201213 yr Ireland's jury rehearsal was actually very very good. What is it with Jedward?! Their rehearsals are always shockingly awful until the last minute, and then they pull it off! I still don't think much of the song, but I'm sure it'll look fantastic on screen!
May 25, 201213 yr Author Poor Elena from Mandinga, she forgot a couple of the words during her jury rehearsal performance! It's unclear whether she actually forgot them or whether it was another technical issue according to ESC Forum! Hopefully the juries won't let that affect their votes :o
May 25, 201213 yr Author A problem for Loreen too! :o From AKOE: 17. SWEDEN (11/8 favourite) With so many songs being underpar tonight, things could be moving in Sweden's direction. Loreen was very poor this afternoon, but was clearly holding back, but this goes badly off the rails when she appears to swallow some of the snow effect and never fully recovers. Very disappointing. PREDICTION: 6th to 10th Oh no!
May 25, 201213 yr This is Keith Mills we are talking about. The Ireland lover, the Sweden hater? 21. MALTA (150/1) Again a lovely contrast to what went before. Best backdrop and lighting and if this could qualify from #4 in a tough semi, what can it do from this draw? I still don't like the backing vocal but Kurt is playing the audience for everything and they are paying him back. PREDICTION 1st to 5th23. IRELAND (33/1) There's a long pause before the backing track kicks in, suggesting a problem with getting Macedonia off stage and Ireland on in time. The fountain which wasn't used today is now in full effect. Vocally fine, and they are using more overrhead shots which add variety. The boys havce to drop their mics before jumping in the shower. It's well performed and has a good draw, so anything is possible. PREDICTION 1st to 5th I'm calling bullshit. There is no way Malta are going outside the bottom ten and Ireland will easily be stuck in midtable. Neither are going top ten.
May 25, 201213 yr Author I know he is unreliable! But some people on the ESC Xtra chat confirmed Elena and Loreen's problems, hopefully it won't effect them!
May 25, 201213 yr I agreed with most of his comments tonight to be honest! Not so sure about Malta though...
May 25, 201213 yr Author Fake voting: Belgium gave 12 points to UK! :kink: Albania gave 10 to the UK too! :D You can follow it on escxtra.tv Laka and Koldun are reading votes for Bosnia and Belarus! Edited May 25, 201213 yr by Ryan741
May 25, 201213 yr Author I need to get online and watch this fake voting! Haha! We're not able to watch it, but we can listen to it on ESC Xtra! :D Anke has just been on for Germany's votes! 1. FYR Macedonia - 68 2. Azerbaijan - 66 And Getter is on now! :D Edited May 25, 201213 yr by Ryan741
May 25, 201213 yr Re: Loreen I have been following the thread on Digitalspy, most people saw that she ate the snow and she DID mess up the next line but apparently she recovered well. Some are worried it may knock down the jury vote abit though. While others said that while many big eurovision fans noticed it, there were several who didnt really notice it (especially people watching for the first time) so who knows how the jury will vote. Apparently Spain were amazing though.
