Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 19/02/26
I sometimes look at the Irish Spotify chart, which can give a good indication of future hits (I am not sure why but some songs take off quicker there) and Bella Kay is already top 3 over there. So think its a safe bet it will be top 5 at least.

Now That's What I Call Music!
Does anyone know when the 90s Year Books normally come out? I assume one will be due in the coming months?

I can potentially see Share The House getting big in a few weeks, its already top 20 in Ireland.

Year End Battle UK vs AUS - Year 2001 - #15
Me, Myself & I is such a bop, I preferred it to Poison at the time.

Year End Battle UK vs AUS - Year 2001 - #19
I've never liked 21 Seconds that much, and I've always felt Let's Get Married is a bit, shame it didn't get released here. Reminds me of 112's Dance With Me which was also big in Australia in 2002 but never got a proper release here (another bop). I always feel like making a thread of my favourite songs that never got a release in the UK (there's obviously loads!)

gooddelta ranks the UK No.1s of 1998
I love Lollypop (Candyman), I always thought they should have pushed that for fourth single here rather than My Oh My, I actually think it would have done better though obviously not #1.

gooddelta ranks the UK No.1s of 1998
I love the Australian charts in 1998, it was far more slow moving than the UK at the time but Australia had some great #1s that year and quite different to the UK (aside from the few big #1s earlier in the year). I mean Ricky Martin had the best selling single of the year and it only reached #29 here and 5,6,7,8 was a big #1 there too, and that only got to #14 here. I am really looking forward to this thread, 1998 is still one of my favourite years in terms of #1s (same with 1999 too). A good time for the charts though there were a few non-#1s. I quite liked Spacedust at the time but its definitely not a song I go back too. Interesting story behind it and you've got to wonder how big the Bob Sinclar version could have been earlier in the Summer. I did buy the Mel B song and it has its charm (I was a big Spice Girl fan at the time) but I'd have probably put it near the bottom as well. I like Bootie Call but don't love it, its their worst #1 but i'd have put it a bit higher.

Songs missing from streaming services
I can't find the #1s thread but just noticed that all of Sonique's songs have been taken off Spotify. It Feels So Good was definitely there last week but its gone now. How frustrating that songs keep disappearing.

Eurovision Song Contest 2025 · Grand Final
I agree with you Gooddelta. It's been Sweden vs Austria so for long and who knows, may be they will storm to victory but it really wouldn't surprise me if France gets it. I keep thinking Austria is a bit close to last year's winner and pop opera doesn't always do amazing. I suspect we will get very different top 5's with the televote and jury and the scores could be more spread out than normal. It wouldn't surprise me if neither the winner of the televote or jury go over 300 points. The jury may be quite split with France and Austria. I am pretty certain the top 5 televote will be Sweden, Finland, Israel, Estonia and the fifth going to either Ukraine or something like France/Austria. I can see Israel's jury score being more than last year but the televote being less than last year too.

Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas? (2024 Ultimate Mix)
I like the idea and the production but I don't really like the spoken word section (isnt that from Band Aid II?) as it makes it quite jarring. Weird that the end chorus section is pretty much gone which is a shame. To be honest I feel quite sad that it doesn't include anything artists from Band Aid II.

Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas? (2024 Ultimate Mix)
I am still kinda sad that they have ignored Band Aid II. I get why to an extent but it doesn't feel like it will be a true ultimate mix. Although to be fair they'd probably only have included vocals by Kylie, Cliff, Bananarama and possibly Marti Pellow anyway. It will be interesting how it does, if it goes to #1 I can't see it staying there until Christmas. It will be interesting to see if this will be the last one or if they will try to do something special for the 50th.

Spotify's Christmas Hits - 23/24 Comparison
There have been rumours that Band Aid 40 is coming but one of the rumours is that they will be picking the best artists from the previous 4 versions to make a super version. Can't imagine they will choose many lines from Band Aid 2 if true (aside from Kylie perhaps).

UK Cancelled Singles of the 90s & 00s
I used to love watching Box Tops every week, shame there's probably no record of its #1s although I remember some of the big ones.

Interestingly Israel's odds have drifted a bit tonight and Croatia's odds have shortened again.
