btw is this a true that a ,,Billboard year'' is from December to November??

i believe so, that's how it was in the 90s but don't know if it's changed.

Yes it is, I believe because they need to get their year end issue out before the Holidays

I will update my YTD list in the beginning of July (half-year) and we will probably get good set of numbers then.

Thanks for the list Andy!

I see both Adele and 1D gaining ever so slowly going fwd as both albums are now selling weekly in the 40-50K range and I doubt they'll go any higher. 1D could with a 3rd single and TV spots, but for Adele, guess "21" is ,well I hate saying "over" because it's done so well but it will take a miracle (a TV special or a TV appearance) for the album to sell 100K+ again. It will be amazing if she gets a Thxgvng TV spot! (like a repaet of the NBC London special).

Also, as she sold about 5.8mil copies last year, she's about 600K shy of hitting the 10mil mark right? She should do that easily by end of 2012.

9339 in usa, 22400 worldwide

Eminem sold this year 124k, and he is #100, so The Wanted album sold even less. Disaster.

Thanks Tommy. So 9.34mil then.... she should easily do 10mil by the end of the year!

Of course. It will be funny Adele with over 4 mln, and no one else with more than 2 mln, maybe only Taylor Swift.

I think Susan Boyle also has an album at the end of the year but doubt this one will sell as much as the first 2 did.

Her third album didn't sell even 1 mln, and her second album sold 2 mln so far, so I agree with you that she doesn't have a chance to sell so many copies this year.

I can't believe songs like Mercy and The Motto have outsold Where Have You Been. Hopefully Rihanna's next album can produce some bigger selling singles.

What Makes You Beautiful and Glad You Came have been much bigger hits in the US than in the UK evidently. And it's funny, because most people here think their success is solely based on them holding back their singles or whatever, but they didn't really do that over there.

I thought Ellie was on 3.4 million?

The rest of the sales might be from 2011. I remember it hanging around the iTunes top 1000 for ages before.
