Posted May 4, 201213 yr Sad news. I didn't know where this should go but The Beasties kinda transcended genre and appealed to music fans across the board. One of the greatest music vids and one hell of a great riff and record: z5rRZdiu1UE
May 4, 201213 yr Really sad news, RIP. Can't believe "Intergalactic" was FOURTEEN years ago. Still sounds fresh today.
May 5, 201213 yr Been f***ing gutted about this since I heard last night. Spent a large amount of my life obsessed with the Beasties. Care far more about this than any other musical death since I've been a music fan.
May 5, 201213 yr Really saddening, will be blasting out "Licensed To Ill" this afternoon. Been really digging this one recently: cE-59JMVqDc&feature=fvst
May 5, 201213 yr Author I've had Ill Communication on. f***ing top album and the soundtrack to a trip round South East Asia back in 1995.
May 5, 201213 yr Beastie Boys are one of my favourite bands of all time. So sad to hear of his passing. :(
May 5, 201213 yr Aside from a brief flirtation with them around 1987 I've never been much of a fan. That said they have 5 or 6 tracks I think are great and whatever way you look at it they were groundbreaking and consistantly produced quality (I can appreciate without particularly liking). Many of my friends down the years have been big fans and they have pretty much soundtracked huge parts of my life. No Sleep Til Brooklyn will always remind me of one particular person and for that I am eternally grateful. 47 is no age for anyone to die. R.I.P. my friend
May 7, 201213 yr Paul's Boutique remains one of the best and most groundbreaking albums of all time. Sad news, way too young.
