'Body Work' is brilliant and stood out as a massive highlight in last months BJSC. So it was obvious my 12 pointer would end up doing very well in my chart so kudos to Kylienips. As for Linnea Olsson, I must admit I didn't think the song was much cop and personally I also had a gut feeling it wouldn't do well.

01 (01) fun. feat. Janelle Monáe - We Are Young (07-04-01-01-01) [5 wks] Never really got into this in the end - strange for me not to love an 'alt.' song that's actually a hit! On that, I see Gotye finally fell this week :o

 

I think 'We Are Young' is a fantastic track. Doubt it'll become a UK no. 1 now, it's probably had its moment of glory although I can see this still selling well when Tulisa and Rita Ora have tailed off so a long stayer in the top 10 is always a good thing.

Syndare DNQ for the first time. :o It wasn't my fave track in SF1 in all honesty. Had I been voting in SF1, I'm not sure if I'd have voted for the song, and if I had it may have been a couple of points. 'Ghosts', on the other hand, is glorious and easily my third fave discovery from the final.

It's alright but I guess RnB can be slightly touch n' go with me. Some RnB songs appeal to me really effectively, whilst others just fall short and don't quite have the same impact. Then there are those RnB tracks I simply can't stand - usually the ones that sound like early demos with little sign of a melody.

'Body Work' has my overall fave last month so as usual my overall fave performs the best in my chart - at least when the tracks finally chart. :P Whether some of the lower entries grow on me and become a big hit in the coming weeks is left to be seen. There's always potential (see 'Nuclear Seasons' and '212').

I don't want to comment too much on 'Miss You Paradise' as it would give too much away. I like my votes in the final to have some element of surprise. :D All I will say is that I did give this points in the semi final - how many exactly you will find out after the final. :D Whether it can hold its own with the SF1 qualifiers is again left to be seen.

Hmm, I've never really been massively into this song. Unlike 'Young' by Tulisa which just continued growing on me alhough that lacklustre performance on BGT really didn't do the song justice at all.

I've made it quite clear that this is just about in my "like" list of Eurovision entries. I've only allowed this to chart because it was given an official release last week. Otherwise it would've had to wait a further 3 weeks to make my chart. At least by entering now, Englebert is in a stronger position to hold on inside the top 40 until Eurovision.
