I don't understand the hype over Loreen's performance? The song's decent enough, but you know, it's just a Swedish Jessie J "LaserLight" or whatever's in the UK charts...

This is what I've been trying to say. It's much better than Laserlight obviously, but I don't see what stands out about it to make it BEST SONG OF ALL TIME material? It does sound like Laserlight really, but better.

Turkey: sounds like a production for Phantom Of The Opera

Who actually said it was the best song of all time??

05 FYR Macedona - 9/10 - Seems a bit nervous, but the song is SO beautiful! <3 Her voice is so cool!

07 Slovenia - 8/10 - Beautiful performance.

08 Croatia - 7.5/10 - Great

09 Malta - 7.5/10 - Wow! Amazing performance, really suprised this sounded good! Wish they had changed that girl.

10 The Netherlands - 7/10 - Not bad, she does a great performance. Wish she had changed the indian theme though... Makes no sense.

---------

11 Portugal - 2/10 - Boring

12 Belarus - 2/10 - MEH. The end was horrible !!

13 Georgia - 0/10 - I'm a hater

01 Serbia - 8/10 - I havnt heard this before tonight but i sense its definitly a grower and i do like it, will definitely qualify and do well.

02 FYR Macedonia - 7/10 Started of quiet weird for me but improved along the way and was catchy.

03 The Netherlands - 5/10 not quiet sure to make of this, if it qualifies i think it would be 10th and just scrape through.

04 Malta, 7/10 very catchy chorus that stays in my head.

05 Balarus 5/10 catchy in places but not sure if the voice suits the song.

06 Portugal 3/10 bland and dated and il be shocked if this qualifies.

07 Ukraine 3/10 voice doesn't suit the song and it doesn't really go anywhere for me.

08 Bulgaria 3/10 boring enough and again went nowhere for me.

09 Slovenia 6.5/10 engaging enough and the 2nd half of the song is much stronger.

10 Croatia 2/10 dull

11 Sweden, 6/10 i dont dislike this but dont get all the hype either

12 Georgia 2/10 messy and boring meh

13 Turkey 3/10 dont hate or love but it goes nowhere and is forgettable.

Serbia 9/10

Macedonia - 8.5/10

Netherlands - 10/10

Malta - 4/10

Belarus - 6/10

Portugal - 8/10

Ukraine - 9.5/10

Bulgaria - 6/10

Slovenia - 8/10

Croatia - 7.5/10

Sweden - 10/10

Georgia - 7/10 - something charmingly mad about this song!

Turkey - 6.5/10 - the performance is putting a dampener on the song for me!

Such a hotspot for that turkish song :o
Turkey is strangely likeable. They'll probably qualify with ease but I'll wish them luck anyway.
01 // Serbia - For a country predicted to do so well, I expected a lot better than that - but it is actually quite good. I like that it borrows most of it's tune from Paradise, and it actually got really good in the last 30/40 seconds or so, when it all sort of built up. Quite good. 7/10

02 // FYR Macedonia - I thought it was just another ballad to be honest, and I was quite enjoying it - but, when it all rocked up, I actually still liked it surprisingly, gave life to what was just another ballad. By the looks of it, doesn't stand a chance of qualifying, but a good rocky song I think. 7/10

03 // Netherlands - Very weird song, that I'm surprised I actually like. There's a real charm about Joan herself, from the way her big eyes glisten at the screen with her cute gestures, to her her squeaky voice. And it was a good fun song - would quite like to see that qualify. 7.5/10

04 // Malta - Quite enjoyed that really, very catchy song, admittedly quite a dated idea of a modern sounding song but it had an enjoyable AY AY AY EEE YEAH bit in it that I liked, catchy stuff. I didn't like the random woman who joined at the end though, and sung like she was trying to cough something from the back of her throat. AND WOO 4 DUBSTEP BREAKDOWN 2K12 EUROVISION ~ 7.5/10

05 // Belarus - In the same way as Malta, it sounded like it was trying to sound modern but still sounded dated. However, much like Malta also, I really liked it. I really liked the instrumental, sounded quite electronic, and a catchy chorus. Five entries in a row I've liked, that was my favourite yet, great semi so far! 8/10

06 // Portugal - That was my least favourite so far. I don't think it was that bad, but it was quite uninteresting. She sung it well, and it wasn't bad by any means, just not very interesting, like I said. 6/10

07 // Ukraine - I really do not understand for the life of me why I enjoyed that. It was just awful, her voice was annoying, but I absolutely love it for some reason. Felt very anthemic, a bit shouty, but the trumpets were ace, and I really don't know, but I loved it. 8.5/10

08 // Bulgaria - What the hell was that? Like, the instrumental sounded really good, and had the potential to be an amazing dance track. But, it had a really weird and boring structure, and just shouted that chorus so painfully it ruined it. I did still quite like it, and I liked her hilarious head dancing. 7/10

09 // Slovenia - Must just be in a good mood today, because I'm not disliking anything. That should've felt so morbid and dull to me going by my usual tastes, but I loved the drama the whole performance and vocal had to it. Another 7/10 ...

10 // Croatia - Nah, wasn't that keen on that. The worst yet, it was like the song before, but with what I thought was exciting about it, taken out. 5/10

11 // Sweden - Obviously I love it, but not to the extent of everyone else, it's far from the best song of all time or of Eurovision ever, it's just like a David Guetta track in the chorus, and her other songs in the verses. But, it's still obviously very good for it's danciness. Don't like her dancing as I never have, but the best song so far in this semi! 9/10

12 // Georgia - Wait, that was supposed to be the worst entry of the whole contest? I actually enjoyed that, it was really weird, and a mish-mash of all sorts, but it was actually enjoyable. 7/10

13 // Turkey - That was just rubbish. I like the generic Turkish instrumental that they have like every year, but the singing was pretty shit. If you're gonna get all LA LA LA LA LA LA on it, at least do it as 10/10 as Ivi Adamou. 4.5/10

It's easily Loreen's unique dancing and the powerful vocals that makes Euphoria this GOOD.

This semi is dull compared to the one in Tuesday :drama:

Euphoria is "very good for a Eurovision entry" in that it's probably one of the only songs that I think would do well in the UK and follows the sound that's currently popular here. Nothing more than that. I think the people who are claiming it is a goddess of a song are looking at it with Eurovision-tainted spectacles. (Loreen herself has a very powerful voice too, but so do many singers.)
Who actually said it was the best song of all time??

I saw Liam say earlier it could become his favourite song of all time possibly, while I was skimming through.
