Both Wigan and Reading have dominated lengthy periods against them, they've got a good attack but defensively they're not that great. I still can't see them finishing higher than 4th, Di Matteo just isn't that good a manager.

Got really lucky (again) today. Their midfield just loses the game for them. Torres is just not the same player he was. Lampard cannot play in a 4-2-3-1, he's the weak link. They'll get found out completely by some teams that flood the midfield. Everton did it to Manchester United on Monday, it doesn't matter how good your attack is, if the team gets hold of the midfield you're in trouble. Impressed by Reading, they were trending a fine line playing 4-4-2 for some periods, but then again Terry really struggles against bullish attacking players so well done. McDermott stuck to his guns.. still think it might cost them more points than gain them, but willing to br proved wrong! One dodgy goalkeeping error and a terrible offside decision cost them today.

Maybe the highlights were misleading but I thought Chelsea looked really dangerous. I can't see them dropping that many points against the weaker teams and I don't think they have the same defensive troubles as United.

For Manchester United's weak defence and midfield, against the smaller teams their attack power is lethal. Chelsea just don't have that. Torres is half the player he used to be, and makes far too many wrong choices. The system is set up for him to flourish, but he really doesn't. Hazard and Mata were class, but they don't have a right full back, and their central pair are weak against long ball tactics. For long periods today they were not in complete control of the game. Their midfield is just not strong enough to play the way they want to. They won't get close to the two Manchester clubs.

Ivanovic has looked far more comfortable coming forward this season than before, I think Cahill is a good foil for Terry given he's much more of a covering defender than a tackler. And Hazard's going to earn an obscene number of set pieces which will probably get them an extra ten points over last season on its own. I'd expect them to be a shoe-in for 3rd given how profligate Arsenal were at the weekend and I think they'll push United for second, particularly if Ferguson doesn't get his defence back soon.

And hopefully Reading have worn themselves down for Saturday :D
what a result that was against palace. sorry bit late but only just got internet working again. brilliant goals and the baldock signing on top. really didnt expect him, thought that deal was over to be honest. bring on the redbirds if we can play like that again.
What a difference a couple of signings makes, cannot wait for the match now :D

Postponed due to waterlogged pitch! :o

Swansea 3-0 up over West Ham. Michu - £2m.... Wow.

Finally, roles have been reversed and Derby have managed a last minute equaliser!!! :cheer: Hopefully this will boost the team now! Great performance against Wolves, probably deserved the win as well it seems! :D
Better performance from Carlisle, though a nerve wracking last few minutes.

Anyone want a Peterborough season ticket? :D

Knew it'd be like this this season but it's still really annoying to watch  Birmingham away next, yay.

Two bad mistakes, but good point for Liverpool. Manchester City will piss the league this season.

Absolutely ridiculous decision, but the day turned out alright anyway so not complaining too much. Ended up in the VIP area of some club on Saturday, with Micky Gray, Sasa Ilic and Chris Makin.

Haven't seen any of the weekend's football bar about 10 minutes of Stoke v Arsenal.

Stoke vs Arsenal was shit. I hope for their sake Podolski and Giourd grab a goal soon, you can already tell the pressure is getting to them. Carzola is quality. Still think they'll really struggle without Van Persie, as they would have last season if it wasn't for him.
Won £210 tonight, put £40 on Forest Green (yesterday) and Newport to win. Happy with that :D
