Blackburn is in tatters. Although Kean is gone, that's only one half of the problem. The Venkys clearly have no clue, how Kean managed to have that much power in the first place was beyond ridiculous. That club is just an absolute joke. Steve Kean must have no shame at all.

Was impressed with Chelsea earlier. They look quite good. I don't know what Manchester City are doing at the moment, but it (sort of) seems to be working. Still think their squad is too strong, and there's so many match winners that they will win the league.

Suarez excellent again. Watch Match of the Day tonight and tell me he shouldn't have had a penalty and Norwich a red card. Referees are so biased against him, it's beyond a joke. How any player can get away with that is beyond me.

There have been many players over the years whos reputation means they are denied clear penalties but Suarez seems to be suffering particularly badly. Yesterday's was the second this season. In last week's incident he exaggerated his fall but that ddn't apply yesterday. It seems almost inevitable that, when he does next win a penalty, it will be the result of a divxe!

The thing is I have not seen Suarez dive for over a year. There's always been contact when he's gone down. The problem is opposition players tell the referee he dived, which is a complete lie. It's a massive issue as that not only should have been a penalty, but a red card. It sucks when Riise can dive to get a penalty yet Suarez gets thrown to the floor and nothing is given.

Just because there's contact doesn't mean it's a penalty - most dives still involve contact of some sort.

If there's contact, no matter how slight though you are most likely to go down because of the speed you're traveling at. Suarez could have gone down 2/3 times yesterday but choose to stay on his feet. There's just a nasty witch hunt against him, which was fueled even more after the Evra farcical. I know why he's hated, but referees shouldn't be swayed for any perceived reputation, no other profession would do that. Like I've already said, how that was never given a penalty is beyond a joke. Pathetic refereeing display once again by Mike Jones.

Talking of woeful refs how on earth was Robert Madley allowed to ref Forest vs. Derby today? He's only 26 and has taken charge of barely a dozen Championship games, in what world is he a suitable ref to take charge of a match of that magnitude?

I'm not going to try and pretend Forest deserved anything out of the game because we probably didn't, but I've never seen a team make so many fouls and receive so few yellow cards as Derby did in the first half. How Roberts and Buxton took so long to get booked was a joke. And yet Cox and Lansbury were both booked for standing near the keeper who was taking nearly 20 seconds to release the ball every time he had it. Complete and utter anti-football from Clough, his dad would be spinning in his grave, Derby today were doing the exact thing he hated "dirty" Leeds for.

We finally won, in what had to be one of the worst ever matches in the history of the Premier league (or Division One before it, or any professional football League ever). An appalling game made worse by the refereeing of Howard Webb. Cannot believe we've started so sluggishly and yet we're still unbeaten. Really hope we raise our game against City this Saturday. One, because it's on TV; two, because it'll end in a cricket score if we don't (tbh it'll probably end up a cricket score even if we do); and three because i'm going and i'd rather not spend the day watching us get ripped apart. Fun fun fun.
West Ham got a PL record of eight yellow cards against QPR last night. I probably shouldn't be proud of that?

Ref had a mare, apparently, was giving them out far too easily.

Webb is still the worst referee in the league though. He was diabolical yet again on Saturday.

I don't know. I certainly don't think he's the worst, but he's certainly not the best! I can think of 2/3 off the top of my head already that are terrible..

Must just be us then. Every single time he's refereed one of our games he's been utterly atrocious. He was in charge of the Man United game at the end of last season and was fucking abysmal, there was Saturday's debacle and then last season he was the ref when Osman fell over his own feet in the box and he awarded Everton the penalty for it.

Mind you, Lee Mason down at West Ham was very poor, and the new guy who was in charge of our game against Swansea wasn't particularly great either. I still think for consistent woefulness the title of 'worst ref' has to go to Webb. I've never seen the bloke have a good, solid, quiet game in charge, certainly never when he's refereed us.

Bliley, last night it seems milwall have a worse midfield than we do. City's goal was a stunner and theirs was poor defending by Fontaine. The game lacked creativity after Half time. Both midfields couldn't keep the ball, and none of the teams could finish. Up to recent games of 4-2 and 3-1 it wasn't the best. Heard a rumour too that bristol city have scored the most and let in the most in the championship? Anyone confirm this?

Scored 18. Let in 17

Blackpool have scored more with 19 and Sheffield Wednesday have let in 20

2. Steven Fletcher [sunderland] : 5

Been pleased with Fletcher's start, more than anything else because it shuts up the morons who started screaming "Y U SINE HIM FOR £600M??!?!?!??!!!!??" as soon as he'd signed for us. 15+ goals this season (which, given the form he's in isn't too unrealistic) will silence the critics.

That said, I don't want us to become totally reliant upon him for goals, other players (the midfield especially) need to start chipping in. Not sure who though, Sess hasn't looked himself so far, Johnson didn't look fully fit on Saturday, Larsson will only score from free kicks, McClean's been sussed and teams are starting to double-up on him now so he doesn't get much of a look-in, Gardner's been getting games at right-back.

Can honestly imagine him getting injured for Scotland, would be a nightmare scenario because we play Newcastle after the International break :(

fair enough lol, its been a mad season so far in the championship this season. :w00t:

So The FA think it's fine to stamp on (Huth) or elbow another player (RVP), but tweet (Cole) about them and that's a straight fine?

What great people we have running English football

There's no doubt Cole should be receiving a heavy fine and ban for what he's done, but their rules are ridiculous. Can't punish Huth because an official saw it? Ok then fair enough, suspend said official for 3 matches with no pay during that period for making a huge error.

Don't even get me started on elbows, don't think van Persie should've been banned but Dexter Blackstock is sitting out a three match ban for my team for an accidental elbow, van Persie gets away with nothing, Fellaini gets a yellow card!

I think it's disgusting. The FA's disciplinary team is terrible. Pulis moans about Suarez diving, yet he has a team of thugs. Half of one, six dozen of the other.
