February 28, 201312 yr It's going to take a lot of money to change the Chelsea team and ensure their able to compete for the league next year. I'm in two state of minds, I think Lukaku and Demba Ba would be a frighting strike force, but I would try and get some money from Torres.
February 28, 201312 yr Author Torres has no re-sale value, infact I'd be surprised if you got any money at all from him. He's on a massive contract, so probably gonna have to pay off his contract. See Adebayor to Spurs and Joe Cole to West Ham. Like I've said all season the Chelsea team is quite weak. Some good players, but a lot that need replacing. The midfield is just not good enough for a title chase. Everything else is ok. Lukaku looks like he will be the next Drogba, but he needs playing time and is still young so will be inconsistent. Hazard and Oscar's form has dropped off completely. Going for Mourinho would be the wrong move for the long term, but it's what I expect will happen. The club needs stability, but they'll never achieve it.
March 1, 201312 yr Apparently there's been rumours regarding Falcao to Chelsea and Torres to Atletico + Money I would be delighted at that news but I can see it just being the usual media talk as I doubt a team would take the risk with Torres + his expensive wages. I don't know what more Chelsea can do, they've tried tremendously well in trying to help his confidence and improve his game. I'm hoping Essien manages to get a game in the midfield a game, something we really need to tighten up on!
March 1, 201312 yr Author I can see Torres going to back to Athletico, but yet again there you go if Chelsea buy Falcao. Throwing money at a problem that doesn't need it. They have Ba. They have Lukaku, why do they need another top striker if they only play with one!? They need a decent central midfielder. Modric would be an excellent buy.
March 4, 201312 yr i have a weird feeling rdm will be brought back to chelsea tbf, probably wrong though. might be mourinho or capello
March 4, 201312 yr Author i have a weird feeling rdm will be brought back to chelsea tbf, probably wrong though. might be mourinho or capello Absolutely no chance. It will be Mourinho. Although he'll still fail. Chelsea will never be successful again until they remove the player power from the dressing room. Anyone watch the Arsenal-Spurs game? How bad are Arsenal really, complete shambles. So many average players in their starting XI that are squad players at best. You'd say Wenger's time is drawing to an end, but it's much more than that. Selling your best players every summer hardly helps. So many shit players on mega wages, they're like Liverpool in 2009 without the boardroom and management implosion. Ramsey should sue Shawcross. Was impressed by Spurs, but don't get the jizz fest over Bale still. He's excellent, but not quite to the levels people are making him out to be. Doesn't impose himself on the game at all.

March 10, 201312 yr Author meanwhile in the championship, wilfred zaha caught swearing at leeds fans haha Shows where he is in his development. Takes a lot to not react to the crowd, but if they see you being wound up it's only going to encourage them.
March 11, 201312 yr Author McDermott has been sacked by Reading. The owner has obviously panicked after the last two results and seeing the teams around them winning. Curbishley is the bookies fav.
March 11, 201312 yr Author Stupid decision, he's done an excellent job at Reading this season. Managerial merry-go-round though isn't it, these things are to be expected these days. This has echos of Wolves last season. Reading a certs to go down anyway, they've the worst squad in the league by some distance.
March 11, 201312 yr McDermott has paid the same price as Billy Davies at Derby a few years ago. He got the team pronoted before they were ready and has been sacked because they have struggled once they got there.
March 19, 201312 yr Author Michael Owen retiring at the end of the season (on big surprise, life as pundit beckons..) Blackburn have sacked their manager.. AGAIN :basil:
March 20, 201312 yr The fact that Appleton was hired in the first place is even more of a surprise than him being sacked. Average manager
March 20, 201312 yr Author The fact that Appleton was hired in the first place is even more of a surprise than him being sacked. Average manager Yeah I have no idea why they hired him in the first place. The club is truly in tatters though, feel sorry for Blackburn fans. Think if they didn't have Rhodes they'd probably get relegated.
