Okay, just saw this. It was AMAZE (obviously).

All of the songs were actually in English with Russian subtitles (YAY for once they didn't butcher a film), which felt so up my alley.

This is on right now on 4 but I am not enjoying this all.

All this hook-less singing is giving me a headache. Even Chicago had catchy songs and I hate that movie.

I suppose I'm just not a musical kinda guy.

Saw it at the cinema and hated it. I mean I really hated it! I was so glad when the policeman jumped off the bridge as I didn't have to endure any more random notes set to tedious dialogue. There were, at best, 4 actual songs in it.

I love musicals so it's not that.....and so many of my friends cry buckets, passionately loving it. So at least it brings out extreme passion in people

I love this movie so much  Espeically Anne Hathaway and her performance of I dreamed a dream, so beautiful

Anne Hathaway was fab, but her early exit was a huge loss :(

Since seeing this in the cinema (I gave it a 7/10) I have come to realise there are many more flaws with it than I had first realised. Granted I've only watched it twice since then, once on TV on Sunday which was a marked improvement because the breaks allowed the monotony to be broken up a little. If they just cut out about 30 minutes of speak singing and replaced it with talking and then cut some of the FLAB it would be excellent. But they didn't and it isn't.
