June 4, 201213 yr Author 40 - Bloc Party "Flux" (2007) (+85) 8-13-13-17-30-36-31-28-32-40-45-49-62->13 Bloc Party's third and last top 10, 'Flux' is their most popular song on Buzzjack being the only one to qualify. It finished 2nd in the 2007 round but only scrapes the top 40 in the final today. It is my personal favourite song from them. WsIMTwVaGyw
June 4, 201213 yr Author 39 - Goldfrapp "A&E" (2008) (+86) 18-10-16-17-26-36-52-62->8 I don't care for this song really, the only Goldfrapp song I liked was Ooh La La which spent 2 weeks in the top 10. Clearly a lot of people think differently as it came 3rd in its yearly round and now finishes in the top 40. p7Ptai9I6eo&ob=av2e
June 4, 201213 yr Author 38 - Shakira "Don't Bother" (2006) (+89) 9-19-32-48-70->5 I'm not a fan of Shakira, and a quick youtube of this song tells me that I don't really like this song. Later in the year she saved her career by releasing the massive smash hit "Hips Don't Lie" which I personally love. Don't Bother came 9th in the semi finals. MjRRQdnOR-A
June 4, 201213 yr Author 37 - Alizee "Moi... Lolita" (2002) (+90) 9-15-23-36-40-51-65-72-71->9 I haven't heard this song before. So again it's a trip to youtube for me as I find out Alizee is a French singer and this whole song is in French. However, the language barrier didn't stop this from going top 10 in the UK and it didn't stop Buzzjack from putting it at 3rd in the yearly round. LBCQzonG41w
June 4, 201213 yr Author 36 - Missy Elliot "Work It" (2002) (+94) 6-14-21-27-33-40-47-43-51->9 Before Nicki Minaj came along, Missy Elliot was the biggest female rapper around. And deservedly so, as she's a great rapper and the beat used is not like how they do it anymore. This is good but not as good as my favourites, Lose Control and Get Ur Freak On. It came first in its yearly round but there are still 2 more songs from 2002 to come later in the countdown. UODX_pYpVxk
June 4, 201213 yr Author 35 - t.A.T.u. "Not Gonna Get Us" (2003) (+98) 7-14-26-36-43-58-54-54->8 This was the second of three top ten hits for the duo. I haven't heard it before, and on first listens it doesn't sound that great. Of course Buzzjack loves girl groups so it's no surprise that this came 2nd in its yearly round. Their other one week wonder "All About Us" isn't on this chart. 0HL-N9oOjcs
June 4, 201213 yr Author 34 - Chase & Status feat. Plan B "End Credits" (2009) (+101) 9-13-21-31-37-42-67-64-73-70-65-73-73-72R(11)-70R(43)-64-68R(3)-47-73-63->20 And now we come to the first act in the top 40 that aren't has-beens. Chase & Status recently got to #1 as producers on Rita Ora's "R.I.P.". This was the first of two top ten hits for the duo as well as the first hit for Plan B. I personally love this song and this is arguably drum n' bass' first big hit. Drum n' bass is currently at #1 in the form of Rudimental/John Newman. YXIHXQjbtl8&ob=av3n
June 4, 201213 yr Author 33 - Pink "Sober" (2009) (+102) 65-37-26-9-12-17-20-30-33-38-43-55-66-74-63-62-51-51-51-60->20 Another artist that is still relevant today, having recently released a greatest hits album. This is Pink's last single-digit peaking song to date (F**kin Perfect went to #10) For me it's one of my least favourite songs of hers. Pink has 2 more songs coming up in the countdown. nJ3ZM8FDBlg
June 4, 201213 yr Author 32 - Coldplay "Yellow" (2000) (+103) 4-11-18-21-25-29-31-34-39-44-61->11 This was the first big hit for Coldplay. I really don't like this song, Coldplay have done much better (Viva la Vida, Violet Hill and Clocks for example) but Buzzjack does have its Coldplay loons so I'll let them have their moment :P 1MwjX4dG72s&ob=av2e
June 4, 201213 yr Author 31 - Sophie Ellis-Bextor "Catch You" (2007) (+107) 28-18-24-8-17-26-42-60->8 Sophie's last top ten hit before turning into a flopstar. I personally like this song but not enough to give it points. The follow up Me And My Imagination deserved better than #23 :( oTwJoICWPws&ob=av2e Top 30 will hopefully start sometime tomorrow. Until then speculate what will be coming next and discuss the songs that have just been posted :D Below are the remaining songs in order of how many points they got in the yearly rounds. 2009 +291 Girls Aloud "The Loving Kind" 2009 +273 Muse "Uprising" 2007 +246 Nelly Furtado "Say It Right" 2009 +232 The Prodigy "Warrior's Dance" 2004 +208 The Killers "Mr Brightside" 2008 +205 Pendulum "Propane Nightmares" 2008 +197 Kylie Minogue "In My Arms" 2006 +196 Pink "U & Ur Hand" 2003 +177 Evanescence "My Immortal" 2008 +170 Girls Aloud "Can't Speak French" 2005 +162 Kelly Clarkson "Behind These Hazel Eyes" 2006 +161 Muse "Knights of Cydonia" 2008 +158 Beyoncé "Listen" 2006 +153 Madonna "Get Together" 2006 +147 Girls Aloud "Whole Lotta History" 2007 +137 Calvin Harris "Acceptable In The 80s" 2000 +133 Vanessa Amorosi "Absolutely Everybody" 2001 +130 Linkin Park "In The End" 2000 +129 Kylie Minogue "On A Night Like This" 2003 +113 The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" 2007 +113 Mika "Happy Ending" 2005 +108 Natalie Imbruglia "Shiver" 2004 +107 Keane "Everybody's Changing" 2002 +107 Pink "Don't Let Me Get Me" 2005 +104 Green Day "Wake Me Up When September Ends" 2005 +095 The Bravery "An Honest Mistake" 2003 +095 Delta Goodrem "Innocent Eyes" 2005 +092 Kaiser Chiefs "I Predict A Riot/Sink That Ship 2003 +092 Christina Aguleria "The Voice Within" 2002 +091 Coldplay "The Scientist"
June 5, 201213 yr Author 30 - Mika "Happy Ending" (2007) (+108) 29-16-7-12-13-19-24-28-27-34-41-57-32-39-39-44-53-64-72->19 One of my least favourites from Mika. A ballad only goes down with me when it's done well, and it looks like some people think opposite to me, as it starts our top 30. It finished 6th in the semi finals oFkSMHle8-M&ob=av2e
June 5, 201213 yr Author 29 - Natalie Imbruglia "Shiver" (2005) (+110) 8-15-15-14-18-23-22-33-41-64-66-70->12 This is actually a good song, I didn't give it any points but I like it. It came 2nd in its yearly round. This was Natalie's last of her 5 top ten hits, her debut hit "Torn" obviously being her best selling and most known song, but Shiver is easily my 2nd favourite of hers. ZwAd_ag9Q0E&ob=av2n
June 5, 201213 yr Author 28 - Christina Aguilera "The Voice Within" (2003) (+114) 9-21-18-21-27-34-39-50-52-60->10 Forget "Beautiful", because this is Christina's most beautiful song imo. It missed out on my points but it's my favourite Aguilera ballad. "Hurt" is another good Xtina ballad but that spent 2 weeks at #11. My top 3 Christina songs are Genie in a Bottle, Dirrty and Candyman (I miss the fun Christina  I was hoping she'd do something off the success of Moves Like Jagger but she hasn't released a single since that flop album Bionic) TVW finished 7th in the semi finals. nA2k79EGHbc&ob=av2e
June 5, 201213 yr Author 27 - Vanessa Amorosi "Absolutely Everybody" (2000) (+115) (11 voters) (high +25) (2nd high +18) 7-12-16-20-28-34-43-57-60-74->10 And now we come to a great slice of Eurocheese  This got lots of points from me, why this song wasn't massive I don't know. This song had to go through *3* tiebreakers before losing out to #26 (I will reveal that soon) This came 2nd in the yearly round. There is one more song from 2000 to come (no it isn't the winner of the yearly round, that was Kelis who finished at #43) PbcTClDD-WU
June 5, 201213 yr Author 26 - Kaiser Chiefs "I Predict A Riot/Sink That Ship" (2005) (+115) (11 voters) (high +25) (2nd high +22) 9-13-16-20-24-34-36-40-43-43-47-49-52-57-53-58-59-61-39-34-35-33-38-42-44-28-25-41-75R(50)->29 It is a double a side, but we all know this is in the final because of "I Predict a Riot". This is a great song by one of my favourite British bands of the 00s, so it's great to see this song do well. What a shame the equally brilliant Never Miss A Beat, Oh My God and Everyday I Love You Less And Less aren't here. :( hamKl-su8PE&ob=av2e And here's the other song incase you want to give it a quick listen :P r40SUj6xqiE
June 5, 201213 yr Author 25 - Pink "Don't Let Me Get Me" (2002) (+117) (9 voters) 6-11-13-14-21-26-28-33-45-57-71->11 I haven't heard this before, on first listen it's alright but doesn't sound like the Pink I know and love. It has its fans though and starts off our top 25. It came 2nd in its yearly round. asaCQOZpqUQ&ob=av3e
June 5, 201213 yr Author 24 - Kylie Minogue "In My Arms" (2008) (+117) (12 voters) 69-57-46-10-17-32-43-61-70->9 Winning the tie against Pink is Kylie Minogue. This is Kylie's first of two entries in the final. I personally like this song, it's electropop Kylie at her best. It came 2nd in its yearly round. Nj6IKIPteuE&ob=av2e
June 5, 201213 yr Author 23 - Keane "Everybody's Changing" (2004) (+119) 4-16-27-26-32-34-43-58-65R(7)->9 Keane are another great example of a 00s band. This song is not their best but deserving of being in this countdown. It came 2nd in its yearly round. RSNmgE6L8AU
