In My Arms I'm pretty sure was the second single of Kylie's 'X' album released in Europe and the third single released in the UK. I remember as this used to get played on TMF's Top20 Hot European Tracks of the Week.

Keep it up with the countdown

22 - Calvin Harris "Acceptable In The 80s" (2007) (+120) (13 voters)

32-17-10-16-12-17-24-26-31-36-46-59-57-62-58-64-38-42-74-59-71->21

The best song in the countdown (imo) is this one. A great 80s feel with tounge in cheek lyrics. (I wasn't born in the 80s :teresa: ) Calvin's follow up to this "The Girls" was much worse in comparison to this one but since then he's got a lot better and is now making hits such as We Found Love, Call My Name, Let's Go, Only The Horses etc. AIT80s is my 2nd favourite Calvin song to date, Bounce being my favourite.

Winning the tiebreak with Calvin is Girls Aloud's first of 3 entries in the final. I don't remember this song but on first listen it sounds very good like most GA songs. It wouldn't come close to my GA top 10, which says how great they were as a girl band.

When Can't Speak French got to #9. I'm pretty sure that Radio1 played this in French. Didn't they?

You're doing a great job with the countdown. Thermometer. Keep it up

20 - The Prodigy "Warrior's Dance" (2009) (+123) (11 voters)

56-18-16-13-9-13-15-16-23-28-40-56-64-66-57-65-69->17

Bré dies. Starting off our top 20 is one of my favourite songs of the final, and the last ever top ten hit for The Prodigy. It finished 4th in its yearly round. There are two more 2009 songs in the chart. I personally prefer Omen but this is very good too, and has grown on me since it was released.

19 - The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" (2003) (+123) (14 voters)

7-14-34-58-74R(213)-71R(258)->6

This was the first top ten hit for The White Stripes, and this is one of the most recognisable intros ever. It was recently covered by X Factor's Marcus Collins. The White Stripes aren't around anymore but Jack White recently scored a #1 solo album. This came 4th in its yearly round.

18 - Pendulum "Propane Nightmares" (2008) (+124) (11 voters)

16-9-11-12-15-20-20-23-30-37-41-44-44-45-52-54-60-63R(2)-67-71->20

The first of two top ten hits for Pendulum was this. It won its yearly round but it's not the highest 2008 song in the countdown. It is one of my personal favourites in the countdown.

17 - Green Day "Wake Me Up When September Ends" (2005) (+124) (12 voters)

8-12-14-15-13-16-19-20-25-27-37-47-53-60-65-73-73-72R(12)-70-75R(16)->20

Winning the final tiebreak of the countdown is Green Day. This is one of my least favourite songs from them but it I still like it. If only Holiday and Jesus of Suburbia made the top 10, I much prefer them to this. It came 4th in its yearly round.

16 - Coldplay "The Scientist" (2002) (+126)

10-25-32-38-45-49-60-67-65->9

And we come to another boring Coldplay song. This is their highest entry in the chart. If you want a paragraph about how great this song/band is/are then ask Bre, CW or Jester but not me. Having said that I do like some of their songs, such as current single Princess Of China.

15 - Madonna "Get Together" (2006) (+131)

45-7-16-29-42-57->6

A great song from Madonna, it was the follow up from her not-so-massive #1 'Sorry'. This is a great start to the top 15. It came 3rd in its yearly round.

14 - Linkin Park "In The End" (2001) (+133)

8-13-13-23-28-31-42-61-73->9

I haven't heard this song before, but after a trip to YouTube I decided it sounds like your average Linkin Park song. Not a fan.

13 - Beyoncé "Listen" (2008) (+139)

60-39-31-51-16-25-41-54-53R(90)-60-8-30-34-40-45-60-74-44R(170)->18

Like a lot of Beyoncé songs, I am not a fan of this. This first entered the chart in 2007 but got a boost at the end of 2008 thanks to The X Factor (I think). This came 3rd in the semi finals.

14 - Linkin Park "In The End" (2001) (+133)

8-13-13-23-28-31-42-61-73->9

I haven't heard this song before, but after a trip to YouTube I decided it sounds like your average Linkin Park song. Not a fan.

it was pretty much the original 'average Linkin Park song' :lol: I'm very surprised you haven't heard it before :o

Loving this string of results, all of these are brilliant :wub: (edit: except Listen, urgh)

12 - The Bravery "An Honest Mistake" (2005) (+146)

7-15-28-49-64-54R(2)-51-60-59-57->10

This was the only top 40 single for the band, but that says nothing about the quality of the song. It finished 1st in the semi finals, deservingly so.

11 - Delta Goodrem "Innocent Eyes" (2003) (+152)

9-13-24-27-33-40-53-54-70->9

I haven't heard this song before, but on first listen I don't think much of it. Buzzjack thinks differently though and puts this song just outside the top 10.

Tomorrow we will find out Buzzjack's favourite One Week Wonder of the 00s :D

My two favourites in the top 10 :D

How exactly has one lived for so many years without having heard "In The End"?

Calling Warrior's Dance The Prodigy's 'last ever top 10 single' is a bit misleading - they haven't split up or anything, if they were still relevant enough to get two top 10 hits in 2009 they could easily get more top 10 hits with their next album! Fantastic to see Warrior's Dance making it into the top 20 though even if only just.

The Bravery being as high as #12 when they only got through via the semi-finals is unexpected but fantastic - probably my favourite song of the 'landfill indie' persuasion :wub: :wub: :wub:

Just three male fronted songs in the top 10 then. I expected Mr. Brightside and Uprising to get there but a bit surprised at Knights Of Cydonia!

"Can't Speak French" was my # 1 and it's my favourite video + song from Girls Aloud.

Most songs in top are not my thing, very alternative and anti-pop chart.

GIRLS ALOUD FOR FIRST PLACE. :wub: :heart:

Edited by AlexRange

Nelly Furtado can't win this. She's so boring.

The Killers to win & Muse as the runner-up. :wub:
