Out this month, the new record from Japanese pop-punk trio Shonen Knife. Perhaps the most fun band in the world, it is impossible to listen to a SK song and not have a massive grin upon your face.

 

Blimey! Didn't know they were still going

I went to see them in Belfast last year, they were fantastic live. Only one member of the original line-up, their lead singer/guitarist, is still remaining.

Heh, Shonen Knife doing a song called 'Pop Tune' is like Oasis releasing a single called 'Ploddy Dirge'.

 

Love this band, great that they're still going and still sounding really fresh.
