England's final group game.

A win/draw will see us through, whilst a loss will see Ukraine go through at our expense.

Some selection headaches for Roy, not least of course because Wayne Rooney is back from suspension.

Should've rested Parker and played Jones IMO, the former looks shattered.

Harsh on Carroll but then again it would have been on Welbeck had he been dropped. Would have liked to have seen Walcott start as well.

Ashley Young must be shagging Roy Hodgson. How he keeps getting in the team I do not know. I guess Carroll will be the "Plan B" option.

Who is the alternative on the left though? Downing (whose presence in the squad is even more of a mystery now) and Oxlade-Chamberlain, who didn't make a brilliant impression against France.

The Ox has done more than Young, and we should give Downing a go, or try Walcott on the left. Downing's had a poor club season but he's always done ok for England. But I think he's a better player on the right of midfield to the left. Idk. I think the system we play needs an orthodox winger.

What a dismal first half, at one point the Ukrainians were all over us.

So poor. No attacking threat

Cannot deal with Hodgson and his tactics. It'd be nice if we actually pressed or little and didn't sit on the edge of our penalty box

Oh and Rooney and Welbeck? Yep that partnership is working out great

Deathly dull.

Our attacking play is amateur. Welbeck's playing an amazing game of hide and seek (and is winning). Milner is so rubbish and un-pacy, and doing a terrible job of supporting the full-back it is unreal. Young is well just playing terribly again, making bad decisions, and Rooney looks like he hasn't played in five weeks...

One point? You mean the whole half

One point? You mean the whole half

Do you have a masterplan :(

This is set up for a Shevchenko winner

Do you have a masterplan :(

Yes

Sack Hodgson and bring in a manager that actually likes to play football

Sorry for not posting on this, I've been in Magaluf. England have been VERY lucky to qualify, Ukraine outplayed them tonight and that goal should have been allowed.

Much better in the second half, we actually looked dangerous at times.

Steven Gerrard was immense. How many assists does he have so far? 3 or 4? Was brilliant anyway, I've not see him play this well consistently for a while!

Still think Carroll is a better option than Welbeck up front.

It shouldn't, was offside.

This.

I wouldn't exactly say we've been lucky to qualify either, even had that been an equaliser we'd still be top of the group!

Ukraine were really good in the first half, but I don't know what people were expecting. We're hardly a team that likes playing with the ball, and Hodgson likes his teams to be be disciplined and compact. Ukraine were playing at home and needed the win. We were trying to play on the counter attack, but the four main attacking players were just bloody shit!
