August 21, 201212 yr Loving this track, who'd have thought? hmmm. This has soo much potential to have an epic music video, I hope her team does it justice.
August 21, 201212 yr I knew it wasn't going to be upbeat but I expected a bit more energy than that if I am totally honest. I think the verses are brilliant, the production is great too and Childish Gambino really works well on the song, but I am not sure if I feel slightly let down by the chorus - the way the chorus starts sounds almost as if it is going to become anthemic and then the little 'I'm in a whole lotta trouble' bits come along and it just makes it sound weak, the way the lines suddenly cut off in such a staccato way. I am sure I will get used to it though and I do love that it sounds just like every Emeli song.
August 21, 201212 yr Thats it? after all the epic reviews i thought we were going to get something, well epic. I think emeli should have kept this and given Leona 'Mountains'. Edited August 21, 201212 yr by Toby
August 21, 201212 yr I do really like it, but I can't really understand half of what she's singing. Her diction is appalling, she really needs to sort it out. Hopefully it'll grow on me more.
August 21, 201212 yr It's alright. So far it sounds like a below average album track which should not be the lead single of a campaign this big, but maybe it will grow on me. I wasn't expecting much more after all I've read about it.
August 21, 201212 yr It gets better the more you listen to it! Tweet from Leona Im shooting my video for #Trouble tomorrow and I'm a lucky girl as I have @coltonLhaynes from @mtvteenwolf playing my man in it! Ooooo https://twitter.com/leonalewismusic Oh she is lucky hes HOT! haha  Edited August 21, 201212 yr by BrookeOlivia
August 21, 201212 yr I've had this on in the car all day... After being underwhelmed this morning, it's grown. Love the lyrics and love the moodyness of it all. My Fave part is the Rap tho :P ha She's upto #97 on the album chart with pre-orders... is that really good  Edited August 21, 201212 yr by Mikeyjosh

August 21, 201212 yr First thoughts are that... it isnt the typical leona song with that BIG ending that I love in a song. It's not as epic or doesn't blow you away like many of her other songs, but I do like it, and I do like the direction. Much more RnB/Hip Hop which I think is where Leona's heart is at. The opening verse is my favourite part of the song at the moment. Childish Gambino's rap is brilliant, love that it's included, it doesnt feel out of place or random like a lot of raps do. After the rap though I wanted more, more powerful vocals that are classic Leona. What is classic Leona though is the emotion really comes through, it's a very deep song. It sounds like it could be a #1 with the promo, TV and Radio backing. Cannot wait for the video, it has to be her best, has to be.
August 21, 201212 yr I like it. I don't love it. I think it's definitely has the potential to grow, and I think it also has the potential to be a fairly successful hit, but as with 'Happy', I'm not sure if it's really the worldwide #1 she's perhaps after. You can definitely tell that Emeli Sande was involved, and on that note I definitely think it's better than most of the material on her album at least. Childish Gambino's verse is definitely the highlight. Well, besides the actual concept of Leona being a massive bitch, which is of course just hilarious.
August 21, 201212 yr So.Boring. I really dont understand how people can say this is a new sound for her...its the same dreary wailing voice as usual.
August 21, 201212 yr So.Boring. I really dont understand how people can say this is a new sound for her... Well Collide & Trouble couldn't really be more different.
August 21, 201212 yr First listen, I think it's brilliant! I swear I keep hearing her say "I told you you should never fondle me" though.
August 21, 201212 yr I actually can't wait to hear the acoustic and the wideboys remix! :music: Edited August 21, 201212 yr by Karma
August 21, 201212 yr On first listen it sounds really good, more instant than Collide that's for sure! I think it'll be a grower too and yeah the rap adds for once!
August 21, 201212 yr Tinchy Stryder is a fan! Saying great things on the BBC Radio1 Review Show with Edith Bowman :D
August 21, 201212 yr Well Collide & Trouble couldn't really be more different. Trouble seems more like her general sound, I agree Collide sounded different to her usual drone but in general Trouble kind of fades into the rest of her back catalogue for me
August 21, 201212 yr Trouble seems more like her general sound, Really? I can't think of one of her songs that sound similar to this...and she's never had a rap artist feature on any single, or even any song for that matter. :o
