I really think they are going to win this year. So much hype in Greece and not a bad song. No same country has won since Ireland in 1993/4 though so it could happen again!

Greece being favourite is a plus for the UK, not only will people tune in to see Greece, but apparently (not heard Greece myself yet) the Greece entry is poor compared to the UK entry.

Romania seem to high in that list, about 10 places lower would be about right.

Quick betting update from PP:

 

Greece still faves at 2/1, with Romania (7/1) and Sweden (8/1) closely following. Daz follows along with Bosnia-Herz. and Belgium at 12/1 and Norway (14/1) and FYROM (20/1) are beginning to speed up, and so are Iceland.

What do you think of Romania then? It's second favourite and when I listen my inital impression was it's nothing interesting.

I don't really like it that much, not a bad dance tune but nothing special. I don't think it will win it might flop like Xandee in 2004.

Greece are now 15/8 which is the equivalent of 1.875/1. I honestly don't see them winning though, Bosnia-Herzegovina is a good bet 12/1 at PaddyPower I reckon they'll win.

Another quick update, the United Kingdom are most likely to finish 1-5 according to SkyBet! :cheer:

There is absolutely no way UK will make it into top 5 no matter what the betting statistics are suggesting. I mean, first of all, even thou it is ok song, it certainly is not worthy for a top 5 placing and secondly UK with few neighbours in Europe won't be that high even if Daz scores big w/Ireland/cyprus/ Greece and maybe a few other ones. I would be very surprised if it will even crack the top 10, my suggestion would be around 10-15 (and that is what quite a few opionion polls are also suggesting).

 

Greece's song is ok. I don't think it would have any chance of winning if Greece wouldn't be the host nation but now I do understand why it is topping the betting charts. I think the main competition will come from the horrendously dull B&H song and also from Romania, Sweden, and Germany. But for me, hopefully Finland will kick some ass and finish high.
