With positions 11 to 9 tied, Spice Girls '2 Become 1' starts off the top ten at number 10! Absolutely beautiful song imo, one of their best and of the songs left, it should definitely be in the top 5. It seems from this countdown that everyone prefers a Spice Girl ballad over the up tempo songs, as this just cracks the top ten and 'Viva Forever' still to come.

At #9 is Sugababes final song in the countdown. I'm actually surprised that they really haven't done as well as they usually do. Maybe they've been tarnished by the pretty dreadful 4.0 version. I'm not surprised that 'About You Now' is their highest song, despite in my opinion being one of their weaker #1s let alone singles.

Up is FUN but I'm APPALLED anybody could think it would be the ultimate girl group song.

(And MAYBE About You Now or The Loving Kind but they seem a bit basic for winners but I love them to bits nonetheless)

That's a good top 10 actually, I would say those songs are all somewhat classics, bar maybe Biology or The Loving Kind, All The Things She Said or Pure Shores to win please!

That's actually a pretty decent Top 10, even for Buzzjack. Obviously the sheer amount of Girls Aloud songs and the inclusion of ANY Saturdays songs is a little uneccessary, but I think we've done pretty well that aside.

 

NON SHOCK that two of the best songs go out straight away at #9 and #10. :(

I thought 'About You Now' and '2 Become 1' would be in the Top 2. I'm glad the former isn't though. :)

Ah, there goes About You Now. :( At least people agree with me about it being the best Suga song.

 

I want one of t.A.T.u, All Saints, Biology or Sound Of The Underground now.

 

I could handle Call The Shots, although it would be really bizarre if it beat the other 2 GA songs. Spice Girls is alright but I'd hardly call it their best song. The other 2 would either be undeserved winners (Up) or I'm just not a fan of them (Loving Kind)

Didn't see t.A.T.u. was still in. That HAS to win. Fantastically produced pop song. But all their albums are very strong production wise.

'The Loving Kind' comes in at #8. I cannot fathom how on earth it made it this high! I mean, it's a good song, but it's hardly a classic or anything particularly brilliant. Having said this it's probably my second favourite GA song left. 'The Loving Kind' was the last song from the girls to make it into the top ten and is the most popular song from their last album!

Both very good songs admittedly, but both overrated and far from the respective acts' best!

The Loving Kind is SERIOUSLY LUSH. That production, those longing vocals...just beautiful.

 

EDIT: It's so gorgeous I'm actually LOOKING FORWARD to listening to it on the way home now. Mmm. What a GUILTY TREAT of a song.

The Loving Kind sounds like it was written with the Popjustice forums in mind. (Not a compliment.)

The Saturdays final song is 'Up!'. By far their best songs and personally I think it deserves to be as high as it is. It's one of my favourite pop songs from 2008 and still sounds just as amazing. 'Up' received the second highest amount of votes with 24, only beaten by the winner of the whole thing who received 25. I miss their coloured leggings look.

06 Girls Aloud 'Call The Shots' 373 points

Girls Aloud 2nd song in the top ten is 'Call The Shots'. I believe it has always been a fan favourite, so I'm not overly surprised to see it doing well here. Personally I'm not a huge fan of it, it seems my Girls Aloud tastes aren't shared with most of Buzzjack though. It misses out on the top five by eight points, but they still have two songs to come.

#12 - Something Kinda Ooooh is probably my 4th fave GA song, I still love it, great party tune

#11 - The Promise, another amazing GA song, so addictive and different from all their other material, plus all the live performances of this are brilliant

#10 - 2 Become 1, one of the best Spicey ballads, I thought this might have been top 5 but this is still good

#9 - About You Now, I do love this Sugas song, I expected this to be top 3 just due to when I did one of these countdowns a few years back and it won! :o

#8 - The Loving Kind, obviously I'm a HUGE GA fan and I love this song too, but there's no way this is deserving of a Top 8 place and higher than some of their classics!

#7 - Up, wasn't expecting this quite this high, but I do love it, probably my 2nd fave single of theirs after 'Ego'

#6 Call The Shots. This is definitely a classic Girls Aloud song, it has been a highlight of the last 2 tours and is beautiful, how it didn't get to #1 officially is beyond me!

Nooooo, Up :( Amazing pop track, should've been at least top 5! Happy to see it do as well as it has though.

 

Now, Call The Shots. Obviously a great song but (although I KEEP saying this) overrated compared to their other output. I do know it's a fan favourite though so no surprise at all to see it this high.

Call The Shots is the epitome of overrated by the gays. yes it's good but they've done MANY better songs.
