I'm amazed there hasn't been a post about this album yet. I'd purposely avoided Japandroids for a while as I'd assumed that because of their name they would be some techno rubbish that I wouldn't enjoy. However, it turns out that they're actually a Canadian rock band with some pretty nifty tunes. "The House that Heaven Built" is absolutely fantastic stomper, a little bit like Springsteen. I'm hopefully going to see them live when they come to be neck of the woods next month.

 

 

Really enjoyed the stuff they released a while back, Younger Us and Wet Hair especially. House That Heaven Built is okay.

Just started getting into Celebration Rock, really strong album. Pretty much every song has a hook that digs into your brain with repeated listens, quite accessible for a band labelled as noise rock.
