Oh LOOK. It's a new Eurovision blog! :o

http://eurovisionpalace.wordpress.com/

OK yes it's mine and this is a shameless plug, but hopefully some of you will find it a decent read, even though there isn't much to it yet, but keep an eye out!

So did anyone even know that tickets were going on sale today? And that they sold out in 29 minutes? SO ANNOYED. Another batch will be available when the stage has been finalised...
I was on there at 9am trying to get tickets and couldn't anyway by the time I finally got through. Got very good tickets for the final dress rehearsal though so if I do manage to go I'll just go to that and watch the final on a screen in Malmo (assuming there'll be one!)

I hear there will be many.

I didn't even realise. EPIC FAIL. Also...perhaps someone can shed some light on the tickets that are on sale to the OGAE clubs atm. They're standing ones...are these going in general sale next Monday?

They're ticket packs containing access to all live shows and dress rehearsals, any unclaimed by OGAE will indeed go on sale next Monday, but would set you back a cool £250! I think I'll pass

Oh wow. Was it near impossible to get them this morning then? Well gutted I missed this. I asked the Eurovision Twitter account the other day when they were going on sale, and it Tweeted me back saying it'd be in a "few months" the little shit!!!

I'm up for this going there to watch on a big screen if we don't get them during the next batch of tickets though!

I only found out a few hours before they went on sale! And yes, completely impossible, I was online to try for them bang on 9am! I haven't even got the time off work confirmed yet, and I may not even be allowed it (it could be a sale week) but I thought I'd book a couple of tickets just in case, it would be pretty cool to see one of the semis and then the final rehearsal live! And at least watching it on the big screens would be a great atmosphere, rather than hidden away behind a pillar or something (the only tickets I'd be able to afford for the final!)

I thought they'd have publicised it slightly more. There was literally one tweet on Twitter about it before today! How much we're the final tickets going for? Weren't the cheapest ones €10?!

Yep, to sit behind the stage which is what I got for Semi 2, better than nothing and cheap enough! There'll be screens in the arena anyway!
So...me and my friend have f***ing got tickets for the final! HELLO MALMO!!!!!!!!!!!
How did you manage that? :o Are you staying in Malmo (good luck) or Copenhagen?
We are! We booked hotels in Malmo, Gothenberg and Stockholm when we found out who the host city could be. Cancelled the other two when we found out it was Malmo, so got it pretty cheap! She got them off some website. It was mega expensive, but we've done some research to make sure it wasn't a scam, and spoken to many Swedes who have said they're legit. In fact I think my friend phoned them today too to make sure they were real, and they were! So they'll be arriving within five weeks!

I'm going to the jury final on Friday night - top seats too. These seats cost me £77 each. We're staying in a reputable hostel (yes I know I know) for 2 nights in the centre of Copenhagen at £64 and the flight (inc all taxes) is £111. So me and me mate are doing the whole thing for £256 each! I think that's pretty reasonable.. not doubt it'll be mage expensive when we get there though!

I booked the room on 8th July - VERY organised and the second the date was confirmed, I literally saw rooms being sold before my eyes!

They've made a new logo:

It's not bad PER SE (apparently it's animated) but I don't think I can accept the loss of the old logo.

Oh it's not in place of the heart logo is it, I could never accept the loss of that. I think it's in place of this thing

Which I also found quite iconic and the new one isn't as good but I'd much rather we lose that than the other one. As long as they keep the old music with the new logo then I'll live.

It's actually replacing the EBU logo, yeah. I had a minor heart attack when I thought they were getting rid of the heart, but losing the old EBU logo is OK. Still not a huge fan of the move - the new one feels so modern when I loved how historic the old one was. Not a huge fan of the running of Eurovision 2013 so far.
Just watched through Junior Eurovision 2012 which was on last night! Well done to Ukraine with what was quite a landslide victory, definitely the best song there along with Russia. Nice use of Euphoria in the opening act too!
Ugh. Junior Eurovision. The worst thing to have happened since World War II probably.
