The whole album is sounding incredible actually. Samo Shampioni in particular definitely benefited from the HQ. Playing this on repeat until May then.

It just seems pointless? The way it was done before was fine.

Well, maybe I am wrong when I get a second thought about it... before the presenter usally have thanked the host and told how amazing it have been during 1-7. So the voting would probably take longer now :lol:

I think the change just allows us to see the 1-7 points for longer. Some spokespersons would jump straight in to giving their 8 points before we'd even had time to compute what other points were given! It sounds like a good idea to me.

 

As for the album, it sounds brilliant! Armenia is the only entry that spoils it. Albania has grown on me the most since hearing the compilation :wub:

Emmelie at the preview party last night... One word, underwhelming.

 

She did an acoustic version though which was quite possibly the problem, but she just seemed to lack charisma altogether. As a result, I'm less convinced about Denmark winning as I was, but do think it'll just about do it. It almost certainly won't be a landslide though.

 

Elsewhere last night, Greece emerged as ones to watch imo, definitely worth an each way bet at 80/1! I'm fairly convinced it's coming top 4.

 

Krista was INCREDIBLE. Whether it'll connect with the viewers and juries in the semi final, I don't know, but her performance last night blew the roof off the place! Likewise Valentina, but I really don't see it qualifying.

 

Natalia & Gianluca were nice, but nothing more than that and Cezar was just Cezar :lol:. Latvia were diabolical, their set felt like it lasted an eternity and they were two of the most irritating people I've ever encountered.

 

Nikki Jamal mimed her way terribly through her performances, as did Sarbel, and John Allison was endearing. Nikki French was amazing, performing Total Eclipse Of The Heart to open the show and Don't Play That Song Again to close.
