I thought that Denmark was very sweet, she definitely came to life when she was singing, but yes it was much more of an Eva Boto vibe than Marija Serifovic. Greece is an epic party song, I was getting Athena vibes from it all over the shop, and DEAR GOD they were fit :kink: I think Valentina WILL qualify, but I can see it bottom 5 in the final, it's the sort of song that's made specifically for Eurovision fans and they never did well. Natalia's versions of Ne partez pas sans moi and Molitva (in the original languages!) were fab, it's just a shame that she has the 27th song in Eurovision called Shine, and that it's probably the worst of them (yes, I liked Georgia better), similar story to Filipa Sousa last year who did epic versions of It's My Time (!) and Conquistador (!!) but then had a really lumpen entry.

Made a deal with myself that if Denmark, Sweden or Norway win I'm going to Eurovision next year. Praying for a Denmark win because I'm DYING to see Copenhagen (presuming they'll choose the capital as the host - I mean what else is there? Aarhus? It's so much smaller (although still larger than Malmö)).

Or if Russia win I'm going as well. :D

Russia would be such a dull winner to follow Euphoria. Fingers crossed for Ukraine, Germany or a Scandinavian country, although I probably won't go again next year. Malmo being next to Copenhagen successfully kills two birds with one stone for me :D

That thought crossed my mind the other day, as far as I'm aware Birmingham to Jerusalem is still the furthest two back-to-back contests have been held apart, I assume Malmo to Copenhagen would be the closest (not counting back-to-back Dublin hosting)?

I really believe Denmark have this now, it should appeal to juries, televoters and I could imagine it having some chart success, still stands out too. As much as "Glorious" is still my favourite song this year, I ruled that one out long ago.

What about if Ukraine win?

Not having to get visa is appealling but what's the fun in travelling to a country where everyone speaks Russian anyway? :(

Started to get stupidly excited about next month today, finished organising transport and things like that and am getting my currency at some point during the week! Also been researching transport links/prices between Copenhagen and Malmo, can't wait to see both! :w00t:

Just been doing the very same! A bit faffy to begin with, then I found a very easy-to-use website

Anyone know what ticket to buy? One of those that allows me to move freely between Malmo and Copenhagen for 2 solid days?

I was wondering the same, I'm going Wednesday to Sunday but will only need to be in Malmo on the Thursday and Saturday so figured I'd just get two day returns!

They speak English very well there (so much so, they are considering making English an official second language!) so I'm not gonna worry, now I know trains run through the night between Malmo and Copenhagen! I'm there between Fri and Sun (though it's the Friday Jury Final we're going to... I was left with 2 single tix in the gods!)

I was pleased to see that as well, had visions of getting stranded overnight in Malmo but then they must realise that a huge number of fans will be staying in Copenhagen so hopefully there'll be allowances for that. I have tickets to the second semi (dire seats), the final dress rehearsal on the Sat (standing so should be amazing) and the final (the WORST seats possible but I'm there for the atmosphere!)

Now that the Eurovision CD is available on iTunes, I've checked to see what tracks are album only and whether they have their own single or EP available.

The following entries are available to download individually from the Eurovision album and are not album only:

Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Russia, San Marino, Slovenia and Sweden.

Of the entries that are album only on the Eurovision CD, the following are available to download through their own single or EP release:

Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Switzerland (under the name Heilsarmee), Ukraine and United Kingdom.

Meaning that only the following two entries are currently not available to download anywhere separately on UK iTunes:

Romania and Serbia.

So it looks like we won't have an issue like in 2010 with 'Satellite' not being on iTunes until a few days later!

Oh what a HUGE loss

Ha.

Serbia though :(

Thank god there aren't any notable absences. Only Teardrops seems to be the most popular choice so far and by popular I mean not in the top 1500  Euphoria's at least in there a year on (and awaiting its top 75 return in a few weeks!)

Bonnie Tyler's Believe In Me is SMASHING it at #498 though, really benefitting from its blanket exposure on Radio 2 :nocheer:

The stage looks fantastic!! Liking the redesigned Eurovision.tv website too!

The stage is bloody brilliant!

And to think I'll be seeing it in the flesh! OOOH!
