(36) THIS IS LOVE will.i.am/ Eva Simons (64, 36, 27) I compile my own Top 75 each week, but allow oldies in it (if they make the official charts, or are album tracks on hit albums that have not made my charts before), so for this Ive omitted them (which is why the Previous week positions won't match if I fill in that data, for example number 20 will.i.am is actually 27 in my chart this week but Ive omitted the old singles and album tracks as they arent current stuff). The last week brackets are the actual Top 75 positions not this abbreviated form. I'm inspired by the format used by many on here to show previous weeks on chart so may get round to adding that (though I personally go for a "sales equivalent" points system and list annually based on chart "sales" for each year, but list peak position and weeks on chart.) Thanks Luke, yes I love the Princess Of China track, it's my biggest record chart-wise of the 21st Century, just dont get fed up with it! Records with longer runs at Number One in my charts: Dancing Queen - Abba (10 in 1976, 8 in 1992, 1 in 2008 total 19 weeks) California Dreamin' - Mamas & The Papas 1997 (15 weeks) Happy Xmas War Is Over - John & Yoko (various christmases starting in 1972, 11 weeks) Last Night In Soho - Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick & Tich 2008 (10 weeks) Earth Song - Michael Jackson (7 weeks 1995, 1 2006, total 8 weeks) Eagle - Abba 1992 (8 weeks as B side of Dancing Queen I treated as double A) Those Were The Days - Mary Hopkin (7 weeks 1968, 2 weeks 1991 total 9 weeks) Daydream Believer/A Little Bit Me A Little Bit You - Monkees (as ~EP tracks in 1980 3 weeks and 1989 5 weeks total 8 weeks) Sugar Sugar - Archies (1969 7 weeks, 1987 3 weeks total 10 weeks) Knowing Me Knowing You - Abba 1977 (10 weeks) Tweedle Dee Tweedle Dum - Middle Of The Road 1971 (8 weeks) Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep - Middle Of The Road 1971 (9 weeks) Dizzy - Tommy Roe 1969 (9 weeks) so, while I obsessed for long periods about some bubblegum records a s a child, it's quite rare for any record to be my favourite for more than 7 weeks...! I'm glad Killers are back too - when Pet Shop Boys (my fave band since the 80's) did the BRITS with Brandon Flowers and Lady Gaga it was great to see fab new and fab old together...

I bought the album loved the track right away, but it got heavy airply on a Dutch station in the Canaries over xmas 2011, so it was quite fresh. UK radio wasnt playing it at all, then I went back to the Canaries again in March and they were still playing it, so it got another boost, then of course proper release as single worldwide, and I still havent got bored with it. Its about to enter my all-time Top 50 chart performers chart...! cheers john :)
