August 16, 201212 yr And what about the all too familiar attempts by the police to mislead Mr Tomlinson's family and the public immediately after the event? Like their claim that people attempting to treat Mr Tomlinson were pelted with bottles? A claim that proved to be a complete lie. All too often the police make initial claims that delay the start of a proper criminal investigation. If it hadn't been for the fact that someone happened to film the incident the Tomlinson family might still have been expected to swallow the lie that he died of a heart attack and the thug of a police officer who shoved him to the ground would have been left free to do the same to somebody else. But even if that was a lie and even if the entire Met conspired to lie to the public about certain facts, it still doesn't change the decision regarding the actual shove. If it is felt that certain policemen misled the public about bottles being thrown etc then by all means discipline/prosecute the officers that lied. But none of that changes this verdict. He did die of a heart attack. And PC Harwood wasn't responsible for it. Edited August 16, 201212 yr by charsui
August 16, 201212 yr He did not die of a heart attack. One totally incompetent pathologist said that because he failed to spot (or ignored) the internal bleeding. That pathologist had already been investigated for previous incompetence (including one verdict which may have allowed the so-called black-cab rapist to claim more victims) and is now facing further disciplinary action.

He only bled internally because he had cirrhosis of the liver. As I said, a drunk. The force was reasonable so the fact that his liver was knackered from alcoholism and bled is not the fault of PC Harwood. Edited August 16, 201212 yr by charsui
August 17, 201212 yr The jury agreed with me so it is clear which of us is right. What kind of forum is this where someone stating an opinion, which agrees with a jury in a recent trial, is told " you need to learn to keep quiet"? Is this a discussion forum or not? I believe that the jury was biased towards the police force. This is a discussion forum but we have the right to question your opinions. :D
August 17, 201212 yr I believe that the jury was biased towards the police force. Your belief doesn't mean tuppence without some evidence. Got any? This is a discussion forum but we have the right to question your opinions. :D You have got the right to question my opinions. But you didn't do that. You said I need to learn to keep quiet. Why should I not give my opinion? Edited August 17, 201212 yr by charsui
