What are the countries where Gaga is #1 actually?

I read she was #1 in like 42 countries or something but I can't see her in any of the big markets : US, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa, Philippines.

I can see she's been #1 in France, Italia, Spain, Brazil, Russia and Turkey. But I wonder where the 42 countries thing came from?!

If you read the last two pages you would know Applause was #1 in 46 countries. Most not big markets though but that's still slaying so kudos to her.

Applause was #1 in 51 countries but today she has gone down to 35 countries
No one noticed the epicness that is "The Greatest Thing" yet? *.*
A bit late but the lyric video is BRILLIANT!!!! Just 4 days till we get the official one!
We just need to get the general public back on side and more GaGa supporters helping out, I don't know where they've all gone in 2 years, it's like the Spice Girls coming back with Forever after 2 all over again.

On a positive note, it's pretty much certain that the music video will be released on Monday so we don't have to worry about a music video delay at least.

I just hope by "a very pop music video" Gaga doesn't mean a generic non-event of a music video. :drama:

This early release has been a mess, I wish we were still building up to the 19th with the song and video release :(

We would of had a better, less rushed lyric video and we maybe would of had teasers/mini promos to keep the hype going. The 'Pop Emergency' didn't need to happen but now we are off to a sloppy, messy rushed start and Gaga's Tweets show how desperate she is

Gaga is predicted to shift 200-225k of "Applause" in its first week in the US. It really is underperforming. :(

I would hardly call that underperforming. Let's be completely real here, Gaga is not the biggest popstar in the world anymore. The BTW era is not too fondly remembered by most of the public and it "only" spawned two top 5 singles in the US. Expecting a massive debut was unrealistic. It will take time (if it happens at all) before Gaga returns to pole position.

Jark is right... she was never really going to be competition for Katy, and to be honest, it may have been wiser for her to move her album back to March 2014, as rumoured. There are a lot of big guns dropping music this year, and she may actually underperform.

What are her desperate tweets saying? :(

Messy, rushed release, she should've held back until the 14th March or released on the 19th anyway.

Have the newspapers picked up on her flopping yet? So far they've been trying to say there's a chart battle (there's no battle) in the UK/ USA and interviewed Ellie saying how she beat GaGA once with the album (????) and now was doing it with the single!!

Oh no :(

Really don't see how she is flopping... Getting to #2 on iTunes with on air on sale is no mean feat. Not many others could do any better.
There is worse news for the Madonna wannabee: An iTunes rep tells us that had Gaga's numbers not been goosed by several fans buying as many as 300 copies each, numbers would have been far worse. "In the United States, 'Applause' is set to sell between 200,000 and 250,000 copies this week. But without the multiple purchases, sales would probably be between 170,000 and 200,000. I've never seen any artist so desperate to inflate their numbers," the rep tells us.

This surely can't be true right? 300 copies for 1 person?!
