Applause turns 9 today!

 

Such an underrated track on this forum! I think it’s amongst her best music videos, has several brilliant live performances and worked well as a lead single too! How time has flown!

I really like Applause and consider it as a brilliant first single in her discography (where first singles are usually worse than second lol). It being constantly among her top 10 songs on Spotify is about right.

Awful damp squid of a first single. Shoulda been Gypsy.

It is definitely far far far from my favourite song of hers. I am not a massive fan but it is super fun and I agree the video is fabulous - super camp and vibrant.
