Director Robert Rodriguez revealed yesterday that the pop megastar would be taking on the role of Lady Chameleon in his forthcoming movie, which has a star-studded cast including Mel Gibson, Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Demián Bichir, Amber Heard, Zoe Saldana and Sofia Vergara. It will also feature Charlie Sheen taking on the role of President of the United States. "I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills," Rodriguez tweeted. "She kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!" Little is known about GaGa's character, Lady Chameleon, but the new actress did post a photo of herself in character, and in true GaGa fashion, everyone is talking about what she is wearing. Sporting short blond hair, GaGa looks sultry as she holds a smoking gun with a full white wolf wrapped around her body. Machete Kills is a sequel to Rodriguez's 2010 Machete, which began as a fake B-movie trailer in Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's 2007 Grindhouse. In Rodriguez's next instalment of the planned trilogy, Machete is being recruited by the US government to travel through Mexico to stop a cartel leader and an arms dealer who has launched a weapon into space. With the movie being released next year, GaGa is gearing up for a big 2013. The singer plays La Chameleon in the Robert Rodriguez sequel - we're not exactly sure of much about her character, aside from that she likes revealing red dresses, wears really inappropriate clothes for the desert, and likes guns. Which is all you really need to know, right? The trailer, out today, also stars Modern Family's Sofia Vergara as a woman who shoots guns from her massive boobs (obviously), Jessica Alba with a gun, Amber Heard flying a helicopter and - most scary of all - Charlie Sheen as the president. The plot is described as: "Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent Machete, who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man - he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy across the planet."  Lady Gaga acts in her epic long videos, but has changed her mind several times over a Hollywood career. "I'm surprised that no one ever asks me to audition!" she said in 2011. "They say we want me in this movie, and I'm like, why? You haven't seen me act before! I want to work for it! I turn them down. My dream would be to be in a Woody Allen movie." In 2012, she'd changed her mind, saying: "I enjoy films and I like to act in my videos, but I'm not an actress. I didn't start as an actress. I did go to acting school for many years, but that’s such a tremendous art in itself. I just don’t identify with that sort of web like approach to being a public figure where you’re suddenly set to do everything, I’m a musician. I’m a musician right now."
