For a group that did "Boyfriend" and "10,000 nights" this is a bit lame. I have a lot of time for Alphabeat but I'm not impressed with what I've heard so far off the 3rd album.

Sounds nice enough but like basic album filler, the same problem the last single had.

 

I actually adored 'The Spell' and 'DJ' so much, both of them deserved to be huge hits. :(

Agreed, 'Hole In My Heart' was amazing too, I'm shocked they weren't massive. Really good pop songs!

I rather like this, better than Vacation. Tbh I don't hear the Whitney comparisons, but it is kind of Don't Stop Believing meets Whigfield - Think Of You.

THIS. Tbh I still think album 2 >>>> album 1 (which actually works for most pop acts, thinking about it).

100% poptastic! Just downloaded this morning and I love it...no one can ever accuse Alphabeat of being boring :)

I've just got into this.. such a sweet little pop track.

I think it's just as good/catchy as their previous stuff, I've got the 'jump on in..' stuck in my head!

Love that cover, really good! Love Sea has restored my faith in this album too after Vacation was disappointing.

So the album leaked and I have to say it's not as good as 'The Beat Is/The Spell'. It's quite reminiscent of their first album actually. My favourite track is 'Show Me What Love Is', absolutely love Stine's voice! :wub:

Considering how much I stanned for their last era, I'm REALLY disappointed in this album :( Every song in the first half sounds like first album outtakes covered by Glee, the second half is better but the production is really weak and none of the songs are really catchy or get stuck in your head. I basically had to flip a coin between buying this or the new Dragonette album, and I'm SOOOOOO glad I got that.

I have fallen in LOVE with The Beat Is... again. The three singles (Spell, HIMH and DJ) are just pop GOLD. Have yet to hear this, but was quite underwhelmed with the singles so far...

 

Still a massive fan of theirs so will give it a listen eventually.
