I like it, I think. The instrumental after the chorus really makes it thoughI think it sounds a little bit overproduced in places. Still, its given me hope for the album, I think this could be another successful era for her, this US success will surely help, all we need now is a Make You Feel My Love style revival! (and please DON'T make it Your Song :( )
I really like this! It's very instant and quite different for her without being too far removed from being 'classic Ellie.' I'm not even a fan, but this song may have changed my mind!
Has anyone really not posted this yet?

Yeah, Jahq did yesterday but it's stayed in the Halcyon thread after this thread split!

I love the lyric video though, really matches the beat very well! Love the song so much!

Far too long for a pop song. I feel like I've been listening to it for 10 minutes, but 4 is still far too long! I can't say it's particularly memorable at this moment in time for me, either. I'm sure it'll grow on a few listens, but it's nowhere near the quality of the best tracks from Lights.

Loads of big hits are about 4 minutes...

In fact the #1 Pop song on iTunes right now (Rita Ora) is longer than this?

Madonna's notably amazing Hung Up is 5:38 and is arguably her biggest single!

(well it did have a radio edit but still)

I'm really pleased with this, I think it's exactly what she needed to come back with. It stands out from the sound of most releases at the moment, yet it sounds like it'd slot perfectly into the UK top 10. I wouldn't write off the chance of it doing well in the USA but, like someone said, it'd depend how kind radio is feeling there.

Really looking forward to the album now, hoping it's big for her.

I know that, but it feels like they made it longer for the sake of being longer. I can see some radio stations completely demolishing it with edits. Also after a few listens, her voice seems to sound really strained throughout which is a shame.

I think it's alright...the only thing I don't really like is how the synths take over towards the end. I guess it's meant to be euphoric or something...but like someone said, the song is too plodding.
I'm so happy she's finally getting noticed. Although she doesn't fit my typical listening style, I think she has a great voice and is finally getting the attention she deserves. IMO, she has Bassnectar to think for that. ;)

Just seen that the version of 'Anything Could Happen' on US iTunes is 4:46, when the version on the lyric video is 3:52! Does anyone know what's in the extra minute?

After 'I know it's gonna be' The first verse is repeated followed by anything could happen and I know its gonna be. But the verse is completely stripped down.

Ellie has uploaded the video for 'Anything Could Happen' to her VEVO page!
