Funny, I thought Robbie's biggest hit and the song that saved/launched his solo career was a ballad

The single and album are both called Vertigo. > http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a40...-3-picture.html

The image will most probably be the album cover (or part of it)

Aw !! poor Jups , are you worrying then or full of excitement at the thought

No, no. Don't get me wrong. I like the odd ballad. As long as it's a certain type of ballad. Something like 'Chasing Cars'. But not a dreary ballad. I can't do with dreary ballads.
Gary Barlow I believe -_-

No hysterics please Kath

I can't contain my excitement.

I'll reserve judgement too then.

:( I don't like it!

Me not overly keen either Spark, give me Sexed Up anyday  , but I have given up wrining my hands over his choice of songs.

My most favourite recent song after Bodies was that Underground Machine he did with TT, a real get down & get dirty song :coffee:

I was driving a long way on the motorway yesterday. Snippets of some strange tune kept coming into my head and annoying me. I couldn't think what it was. Then after about 350 repetitions it dawned on me. <_<

Maybe 'Candy' (or whatever it's called) is one of those earworm songs :(

Yep, I guess it could be one of those annoying catchy songs that you hate but can't get out of your head.

Robbie Williams unveils new single 'Candy' cover art

The track is the first to be taken from his forthcoming album Take The Crown and was co-written by his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow. The pair previously worked on Williams's single 'Shame', which was released in 2010.

"It's a summer song about a girl who thinks she's great," explained the 38-year-old singer on his official website. "And she might be, but she's a bit nefarious with her ways.

"Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don't have to think about it. I don't know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time - it just did."

Williams also confirmed that 'Candy' will receive its first radio play on Monday, September 10 at 8am (BST). He is expected to appear on a number of UK breakfast shows throughout the morning to promote the song.

'Candy' is scheduled for release on October 29, with Take The Crown following on November 5. Williams has said that the album is "full of worldwide hits" and recently announced that he would be playing a series of gigs to promote the record.

Williams was awarded an 'Icon' accolade at the GQ 'Men of the Year' awards last week.

He was spotted filming the video for 'Candy' in Spitalfields, East London last month.
