07 Just good luck I guess, I've very much started having the courage of my convictions the last few months, I always thought 'nah this won't do well' before, but I just go for it now and thankfully it's paid off. I think I have another 2/3 potential hits under my belt too, I have no idea which one to go with this month though so we'll see.

15 Here's hoping, although I suspect it will be, the album better have stuff with more heft to it though, this is something I suspect won't stand the test of time very well.

23 Hmm, maybe not, but I like to encourage anyone to listen to it and someone who likes one of her songs is as good a target as any.

07 I have more than a bit of indecision about next month myself, I've found a fair few potentials but there's not a Shy'm or Charli in there. If you want help with picking your entry then feel free to send me a PM, I'm sure your potentials are worth a listen!

15 I imagine the album won't be as light as this, in fact if anything I'd say this is more likely to stand out somewhat. Taylor hasn't really been fun in a while (ever?) though, maybe she's decided to be a bit more childish this time round. That said she's apparently got an Ed Sheeran duet on it (:manson:) which while almost certainly awful, possibly bodes well for the album having a couple serious songs.

23 I guess it's worth a shot at least, are there any highlights that I could try before diving into the whole album?

That doesn't seem to stop Khia.

I echo your #40 reply back at you to the second half of that #15 comment.

The difference is that I hammered Scream to death when I first heard it, whereas Pay Yo Pussy Bill is quite fresh. Plus anything by Khia is of course timeless!

WE'LL SEE. If she gives a really good video and/or smashes then that should give her some longevity on my chart.

07 Oh, I might just take you up on that! Same goes to you too of course, helping people out recently is part of what's gotten me much more enthused about it all oddly enough.

15 Oh GOD I know, I hate hate hate hate hate him and his nothingy voice and nothingy music and nothingy everything but I'm sure Taylor will at least have carved a decent song out of it. I do hope we get some of the more pop/rock stuff like Haunted and Better Than Revenge this time, I know technically their much less 'good' lyrically, but I find them to be really quite clever and intelligent in their own way.

23 Well these 4 are my choice cuts:

,
,
and
. Gentlemen in particular has a decidedly new world/Enya vibe about it, which is another genre I'm quite FOND of shamefully.

Hi James :jump:

05 (03) Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen – Good Time [5-2-2-4-3-1-1-3-5]

07 (08) MS MR – Hurricane [12-7-6-8-7] I hope this goes top 10 for you, you've got a nice little streak going on hurr.

10 (06) Cheryl Cole – Under The Sun [5-4-6-10]

12 (07) Charli XCX - You're The One [4-7-7-5-2-1-2-3-7-12]

13 (11) Lana Del Rey – National Anthem [25-3-1-1-2-4-6-11-13]

15 (xx) Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together [15] Definitely the best thing she's ever done by a mile. I hope the ditching country thing is permanent.

21 (xx) Paloma Faith – 30 Minute Love Affair [21] I don't HATE it but it's SO dull

25 (32) Trust – Sulk [32-25] Not quite as good as Moan for me :(

26 (17) Trentemøller / Ane Trolle - Moan [12-11-12-17-26]

27 (19) Khia – Pay Yo Pussy Bill [20-16-15-14-19-27] *.*

07 I'm generally not one for helping, actually, but this month it's only fair that I offer help when I'm intending to ask for it! Umiiruka are having a bit of a crisis at the mo, but then I guess continuing the sort of success we're having now is never going to happen so it's best not to try.

15 I don't know if it's possible for a song with his vocals on it to be good! But we'll see if it's improved by Taylor's voice, lyrics and production. If she can't save him, nothing will. I agree about the pop/rock stuff actually, both of those are among my favourites on Speak Now (especially Better Than Revenge). I'd say BTR is actually rather good lyrically too.

23 I've listened! I'm not really a HUGE fan of any of them but Don't Fade Away and It's Your Life are my favourites. Possibly I just don't have many reference points but it reminds me of Alexz Johnson's album 'Weight', which isn't a style I'm hugely fond of but I enjoy nonetheless. I'll try to give Milla's album a listen!

Hello Bra :jump:

07 It's just two songs so far  But yes, I'm certainly hoping for top 10. Don't mind where it lands as long as it's in there.

15 I can't see her ditching country forever but I imagine this album will be more pop. I do reckon there'll be at least a few country songs on the album but then you're not very likely to hear it, are you!

21 Semi-agree. It's simultaneously dull and pleasant.

25 I don't know which I prefer! Both are very good and I can't really pick a fave. Right now I'm loving Sulk more but then that's only natural, it's fresher.

31 Shaddap.

33 See #31.

38 Post-album singles rarely peak high for me unless you're Lana Del Rey, haha. Considering I heard Spectrum all the way back in October 2011, I think it's had an impressive run.
